Smith upgrading doesn't have to be because we're not getting Da Silva. June 30 is approaching, we need 30 players in the NRL squad. Ryley has been on a development deal this season.

Da Silva is neither here nor there....he is suffering seperation anxiety and is no certainy to come here other than an understudy to Ryley.
Regardless of what TDS is doing, that has no bearing on re-signing Ryley. This has probably been in the works for a while now. Way before TDS become free to talk to clubs.
We need another hooker. Lussick won't be re-signed and Hands is clearly down the pecking order. There's a chance he gets released early anyway. You need 3 hookers in your squad. Ryley working with TDS would be good for us. Then you have Hudson and Coinakis battling it for time in cup
Regardless if we get TDS or not, we still need another hooker for the squad.
