Dylan Brown debuted for us at 18, Blaize was in a sg ball grand final then debuted the year along with Ethan Sanders, along with Matthew Arthur although he was still quite raw and for the raiders Ethan Strange debuted the next year after playing U19 state of origin then taking over from Jack Wighton. Lorenzo just went up to Jersey Flegg and killed it in his first game and could be in NSW cup by the end of the year.
We don't have to throw him in right away maybe a few months into the next year if he is receiving the proper development but I just don't think Sandon Smith will be the right choice for us and we can probably use the money elsewhere, it could also make our Juniors coming through like Lorenzo to maybe look elsewhere as they are around over a year for their Nrl Debut.
If we were to sign someone I'd be after Tyran Wishart and if we do maybe try and get him over a year early by transfer fee or player swap as he is on the same money as Galvin at the tigers. If Tyran Wishart does come over we can still put Lorenzo at 6 when he is ready and Tyran can play 9 or else with his versatility.
I feel like missing out on resigning Dylan Brown, then missing out on Lachlan Galvin, now we are after Sandon Smith shows that we are rushing the five eight signing instead of actually seeing the best half to match with Moses. Maybe we should wait till the off season and choose the best option for us long term even if we get them in 2027. I dont know what do you think?

Well that fcuks your voice of reason LB, Merkin is agreeing with you.
I think he deserves a crack alongside Moses sometime this year. He's more of a running 5/8 than a steering half, so I don't think we can judge him from those first couple of games.
This is what we do I'm tellin ya they are nuttin players.
I don't see Tyron Wishart as an option at all.
He will be one of those players that look great in the Storm system and will be rubbish out of it. He was even playing half when Hughes was out and he fell apart controlling the team by himself.
If we're going to sign a player, Metcalf and Smith are the two I would go for.
If we're going to develop our players within, go with Volkman or Papalii first, and see who rises to the top next year out of Twidle and Lorenzo.
Lorenzo is one of the most naturally gifted young players I have seen. He has great feet , great awareness of retreating defences and has the ability to play slow/fast to create opportunities. He will play Nrl. There is a very nice batch of kids coming through the pathways . Good times ahead .

How long do you feel before Lorenzo would be ready?
Mate , playing jersey flegg now and already looks up to it. He needs a full nrl pre season which he will get from Nov 1 and I think he will be nsw cup mid year and debut around this time . He just needs to get the body adjusted to the hits and attention he will get. Certainly a great future.
Glad I am not the only one that sees the talent coming through PT. The one thing about Lorenzo vs Galvin is that Lorenzo easily has the better atheltic qualies.
