Am I disappointed?, yes but not distraught. The worrying thing about this for me is have the eels gone all in on Galvin and not have a backup plan?.
One thing is clear, this surely has to be the final nail in a coffin for O'Neil, a coffin that should already have been nailed shut.

Galvin may have only of said he was interested in Parramatta to say no. Would still be pissed for being rejected. This will be his 4th club in a few years. Probably best we didn't sign him. Twiddle can't be too far away in development.
The dogs have been after Galvin since the start of the season, probably even longer than that. The eels only became interested after dylan decided to leave and Galvin decided to not re-sign with the tigers.
Don't believe we were the front runners and the dogs came in late, it was the other way around.
Now it looks like another player Mahoney is being shopped around, another player with a contract that gets let go and $$$ owing disappear into space.
They have been shopping mahoney since the off-season, it was mentioned he was offered back to us.
This move definitely has the ability to derail this season for the dogs, some players are going to be shafted by this move and it could really have a negative impact on the bond the playing group seem to have developed.
At what point does the NRL stop burying it's head in the sand. There is no way the dogs can be under the cap, and if this is true, it is just making a joke of the cap.
