    • Dogs have access to a lot of  TPAs . Go ask why Parramatta who have the 2nd largest CBD in NSW can't obtain TPAs before accusing clubs of cheating the cap , the dogs don't have flops running them like Parramatta have .

      • Agree to some extent. But what TPA's do the Dogs have that aren't linked to the Laundy Hotel group?

        • Exactly right, Gus knows how to work around the nrls tpas but I'm sure laundy is helping them buy these hotly contested players like Thompson and now Galvin. And

I dont buy into the bs that its to play under ciraldo, he hasn't achieved anything apart from being an assistant to Cleary. Their attack is garbage, yes their defence has improved with a very questionable line speed (until they get a ref who actually police it, then they cry and whinge) but without Crichton and kikau they are a very ordinary team and they were bought not made (hence why Gus wanted Galvin)

  • When will people understand the dogs team is just a flash in the pan this year. The team was built off rejects. They are over performing with one of the easiest runs to date. It will be the best sight to watch them start falling off and go 0-2 in finals to go out in straight sets.

  • I think Galvin has the potential to be a very good player, but I don t think we have lost anything really. The kid seems is a little simple, the way his family let the Manager manipulate the Tigers for a release and harpooned Benji Marshall show he does not fit what we are trying to build culture wise... Good luck to him but we want better individuals. He will fit well with Gould..that man is no one I could respect or want to partner with.

    • If I had to choose between Galvin or Longi id take Longi every day , he is a special talent .

      • I couldn't agree more Frankie. Longi is a talent.

  • I know some are disappointed but Parramatta from a young  talent perspective are in a very very healthy position , we will have to build through development as we can't compete with other clubs for established talent .  We have a 6 and 1 in Papali and Longi , the club despite its faults with management is still heading in the right direction .

    • I half agree Fongy - on the field we're heading in the right direction. Ryles seems to be heading in the right direction, our club financials are in the right direction, our training facilities are in the right direction.

Our Retention and Recruitment has continued to nosedive.

If we don't act to fix it we are likely to develop Iongi and Papali only to lose them before we reach their value return just like Reed and Sanders and Blaze and Dylan.

We can't let all of our other successful areas paper over the massive gap that is our underperforming R&R.

      • Completely agree Cap. You can't always be in a phase of banking on potential. Using Iongi as your example, when his deal his up, we're either going to lose him or have to outbid every other NRL club for him to consider staying. You can't win a comp like that.
