      • We were never in the box seat. This has been in the making for some time.

        • Agree, this whole thing has been orchestrated by Gus and Co since the beginning. The only reason Parra would have been involved was to push up the offer to try and get the Dogs to compete with Parra's offer. Gus was just throwing everyone off the scent by saying they weren't interested

  • Bulldogs have signed Galvin to 3.5 year deal. Could be a blessing in disguise but we will see how it plays out

  • If we don't get Galvin, it won't be the end of the world.

BUT if MON has failed to win over Galvin with the deck stacked so massively in his favour then he needs to go. This has got to be the end of the road for our R&R because it has been consistently terrible.

Ryles needs talented support around him. If we don't secure Galvin, then MON needs to pack his bags immediately. Simple as that.

    • I'd like to throw stones at MoN it would give me no more pleasure but if it is true did we really have a chance once Gus and the Dogs got involved i mean seriously.

Its also a slight on our coaching also Galvin obviously rates Ciraldo and the plan they have in place for him over what JR presented if the rumour is true and he is to become a bulldog.

Mitchell Moses sentimentality 😂 good god was that our only real shot at landing Galvin.Oh well onwards and upwards.

A 2 horse race and we still manage to miss out good god this club is good at that.

      • If we don't have the talent to match the recruitment power of our closest rival who was but years ago floundering on the bottom of the table and managed to climb to the top solely on the back of savvy recruitment...then the BEST person to blame is MON.

He's had a go, he's not up to it. I can't name another club worse at recruitment and retention.

Nothing personal, he's just terrible at his job and needs to go.

      • So we came 2nd in the race? Not bad 😂

    • I agree with that Cap. We were, I know full well, in the box seat the whole time til Dogs ramped it up.
But the money we have, Moses connection, clear path to 6 jersey and offered more money and years and still couldn't get it done is not a great look.

And we went for him hard too. Just makes me think how we would go getting others over?

Not end of the world as Moses is the most important player but still a bit of a knock considering how in front we were until the last bit.

      • Yep totally agree LB - I'm not that gutted about Galvin as he was always a gamble that could pay off or could not. I would have been fine either way.

It's more the repeated failure in R&R. We simply never get who we want. That's the big issue. We are a massive, well supported club with excellent finances and the world's best training facilities. If we still can't win our targets then there's something else wrong and it needs fixing. Ideally before we miss our next target or lose our next talent.

    • 1000% he needs to go and he can take that nuffy we have as CEO with him.

Absolute layup and the cunts fuck it up - as expected.
