Its why players like Kaufusi and the Bromwhich brothers were able to get a good pay packet from the Dolphins. They were well past their prime and on the decline. Yet a new club bought them because they are coming from a top system/club (Storm). While I believe they were still NRL standard at the time, they were not bought for their onfield performance. They were bought to lead a new roster and create the culture and standards at the Phins for the future.
Sometimes paying 'overs' to the right player, isn't overs at all.....bloody spot on. It's called investment.

We need to sign Tino even if it makes him the highest paid prop in the game.
I believe his signing alone elevates us to a top 8 team.
Add a quality 6 and a quality centre and we are a top 4-6 team.
I think we are a top 8 team without Tino as long as Moses is fit. With Tino & a 6 we are pushing for top 4 IMO

Top 8 always depends on the draw, unfortunately they love giving us storm panthers dogs and those types of teams twice because it draws ratings, we aren't a bad side but if half our games are against top 4 sides you are up against it
We need one origin worthy six centre and middle and then we are in the frame. Thats going to be tough to get with the Bears and PNG coming in ......we going to have to wait and see if these youngsters can do it.
