Hamlin-Uele and Talakia

Sharks looking to offload these two to free up cap space so they can resign (upgrade) Brailey and Kennedy.

Eels are in need of decent fire power up front. Both could be ideal, especially Talakia (still only 28 yrs) who can play multiple positions, including centre where we seem to be rocks and diamonds.

Comparing to the current roster, I think these two would be a walk up starts in the 17... at least Talakia anyway.

Thoughts?

  • Talakai yes - Uele no

    • Even then i would not be too keen on Talakai as a full-time 80min back-rower. His defence can be suspect and fatigues quick.

      • Agree LB, he's not quite fit enough to be a backrower or a centre and not really what we need at his age. Better off investing in youth.

        • As a Centre i wouldn't mind him. Hey i would not mind him as a 17, bit like what we tried with Samrani, that back-row/Centre alternative. But let's be fair, he lived off the Morgan Harper demolition for a long time, got him 2 NSW appearances somehow and never really peaked after that.

          He is NRL quality.

      • Yep agreed,  I do think he could do with a changed and our new systems may compliment us and him

  • Pass.

Both no better than what we currently have.

We have more than enough depth players, we need some quality starters.

    • I concur.
Need tackle breaking, line bending fit forwards capable of creating opportunities in attack.

    • Yeah i agree with that. Hamlin-Uele a few years ago was a nice impact Prop but is just that. We need a starter in the middle.

  • sharks freeing up money, they are goin after Jayden Campbell

    • To play Fullback? Wouldn't they just sign Kennedy? Or go with Ison even?
