  • So this would be a TPA organised by the club and therefore included under the cap. I think.

    • I think you'd be right. It sounds like a strategy to avoid having the PLC footing all the salary bills. They would have to underwite it however.

Mind you if the correspondence came from 1EyedEel then it would not come under the cap. Interesting thought...
  • Let's all put some money from 1eyedeel and sponsor a player, very cool.
  • Vince will be sponsoring his mate Fog.

  • Is the club allowed to organise this?

Arnt they meant to be at arms length?

Regardless looks like they've stolen 1EE's idea, once again a perfect example that they should listen to us fans more, they pay all these fools hundreds of thousands to come up with ideas, they are all recycled ideas from here.

MESSAGE TO MAD MAX AND WEEKEND AT BERNIES, Come and join 1EE and hear some of our thoughts, come and mix with the die hard fans you talk about getting to know, we will show you great respect, it would be nice to see you both here, even something like the 70th Anniversary logo thread, you should be in there chiming in.

Weekend at Bernies, you start next week, looking forward to seeing you and Mad Max here.

    • My first thoughts too Snake. However, Max is all about making the football club less of a financial liability.

My thinking is this (and I could very well be wrong)
-The NRL grants to each football club an amount equal to the salary cap.
      - The club raises additional funds through advertising and sponsorship as above.
      - Even though these TPAs are included under the cap, this frees up some of the NRL donated cash to be spent on operational matters or other items.
      - This means the football club is not such a financial burden.
    • Imagine that pretender and her crew of kids trotting into Bern's office spruiking their big new idea .
    • Its all good you are sponsoring the club not the player, you chose a number so if i chose no 1 then if French was playing when they read his name out on game day and flash his head on the big screen my logo 'Modernview Homes' (haha little plug) would appear.

' No 1 Bevan French brought to you by Modernview Homes'

  • Very confused here . Maybe someone needs to let Bernie know that he's not at The Roosters anymore lol .
  • I'll give Tautai a dollar every game he doesn't play

"Thanks Pops. You're right. Stats can be horribly misleading.
Like when we say we've had 49 blowout losses.
It sounds like holy sheet our defence is crap (and it has been). But, actually we've also had almost as many big wins.
So, the reality here…"
