    • Outplayed is to harsh a term PG, yes he did but the circumstances doesn't bring that comparison forward as a failure by Moses.

  • Hope that Iongi, Smith, Lomax and JAC were not burnt out from last week game. The phase of that game was frantic. Wishing that their physical conditioining are good.
Hopgood should taken by Ryles to a corner and tell him "no more errors".

  • Really nervous about this game.

There are a few Bulldogs with a few points to prove.i.e. Sexton & Mahoney.  They could come out and have the game of their lives to cement their positions. In saying that they could also go the opposite way and drop their heads and play terrible. It is really hard to tell what kind effect Galvins inclusion, at the cost of someone, will have on the team.

As well as that, in past seasons, when Eels are expected to play well, they go the opposite way and play down right awful.

It will certainly be an interesting match. I would feel better if we had two centres who knew how to pass to their wingers more effectively.

    • The Galvin noise has definitely disrupted the Dogs - you can tell from the fact that the only people speaking to the media are Ciraldo and Galvin.

Indirect reports of disharmony. Reed asking to be shopped around. No point in Sexton playing for his spot, it's already gone and he knows it.

I don't think they'll play badly, but I also don't think they'll be as cohesive as they've been to date. If we can get a run of play I think they could drop their heads.

Given all the Bulldogs hate at the moment neutrals will definitely be cheering for the Eels.

  • I've said this in beating the Dogs you have to beat them up in the middle of the park.

While the ball movement looks great and all you have to be very selective against these guys as that's where there strength is they have good defensive edges.

Short passing through the middle of the park is the way to go against the Dogs, keep going to edges but roll them in the middle that's the key to victory. If we cull the errors and high completion that's the winning formula against these guys.

    • If you watch the dogs defensive line they work hard from the inside, often too hard collectively.

If you shape to go wide , with the outside backs running a straighter line but your halves going across field you'll drag their defenders across working hard from the inside opening them up through the middle with a change of direction.

Iongi would be the key , working into the backline on a sweep before a hard cut to the inside with a ball off the halves, if Smith trails through there's plenty of space back through the middle.

If you play our normal shape early for a few attacking sets before doing this it'll catch them out.

Then you've sewn doubt in the defensive line , the middle has to hold which creates space for our halves making it easier to go through or around .

The dogs aggressiveness in defence is their best asset make it their biggest weakness, they leave massive gaps through the middle third when teams shift the ball with eager cover defenders helping their outside backs.

Changes of direction will cause them plenty of problems.

      • I think Walker is primed for a big one. He and Moretti working together has caused a lot of problems for defences because of how Walker straightens the attack and how hard Moretti runs.

Samrani back on the bench is also big for us. Firstly having Will back sures up that edge again and Samrani being able to slot in to provide a direct running threat rather than having to play 80 minutes in the backline suits him a lot better now.

  • Well the NRL and media wouldn't want to spoil Galvins first game as a puppy and with Pinocchio Gould handing out brown paper bags 💰 I'd say a Bulldogs win! Moses hasn't been playing well since being promoted to captain and is injured and is more interested in Origin so it's a definite Dogs win

      • Why Buttercup because I see things differently than you chump🤣 Wake up to yourself chimp. If you can't handle truth don't read it 😉

        • CE it's your opinion and that's it,, not truth just opinion mate
