    • What's this got to do with Mon. Ryles picks who he wants, not Mon.

      • @Michael, Tell us you don't know how it works without telling us you don't know how it works.

          • or Wiz, tell us you don't understand what you don't understand......

      • It is a mixure of Ryles saying he wants this person and MON gets them and Ryles saying he wants say a Hooker and MON finds one. Or MON suggests certain players to Ryles. I believe Ryles would get final say.

      • Not quite right Michael, Ryles states what type of player he is after and the recruitment committee then work out between them all how much they have, who's available, who to talk to and what to offer. Ryles is but one cog in a system of 4 people when recruiting.

We know what and whom Ryles has asked for and the committee headed by Mark O'Neill, Ben Rogers and the CEO / Board have come back empty handed. A week later they usuallt declare a new signing consisting of either "an old man or youth with potential" with great booyah !

        • Bluey, trust us on this one, its like any agent looking for a house for a client. The agent will not be telling the buyer he has to live in it!

          • Go and read Supers post re MONs explanation. I know you didn't believe how it works when I mansplained it to you 3 years ago. So maybe you'll listen to Supers version. MON listens to what Ryles asks for and tries to get him the best version, if he can't he finds as close as possible within the budget he allows.  Agents won't take you to a 2+ million dollar house on the beach if you only afford a 750k house. He'll take you to a place on the stinking Brisbane River and tell you same / same , it's on the water as requested. You can still buy your Sea Doo Leb sled and make it work.

            We are stinking river shoppers.,

  • lol, maybe the governments giving our bean counters tax exemptions for employing elderly ?  The Equal Opportunity Eels.

  • It makes perfect sense. Lussick is leaving at the end of the year and we are trying to get rid of Hands. Havilii would be our 3rd choice hooker that can play as a middle too. Play in NSW cup. That 1 year will be really valuable so Coinakis can spend 2026 in JF and make the fulltime transition to nsw cup in 2027.

    • It does make sense actually your right EA you got your worker in Smith you got your finesse and skill in TDS what's missing a physical guy who can play in the middle at a pinch basically you've covered your bases at Hooker if Havilli is signed and no doubt it won't be for anything substantial and it will be no more than a 2 yr deal and again buys your pathways time at the position as at some point no doubt they think TDS is the future and Smith will need to be upgraded or will move on,
