Yes we going to need more them what we got right now and he young not at 33 year old when he runs out for us probably need a walking frame to help him run
This would be a depth signing. Nothing more. We need more forwards that are ready for first grade incase of injuries until the juniors are old enough to compete in the next two years. Everyone wants tier 1 signings only, not possible, Melbourne contiunue to sign players who are not tier 1 signings and turn them competitive and when they have injuries a conveyor belt ready to go.
Though i feel many here are going into histeria as this could have been a link months ago and since we have signed Da Silva, as it doesn't make sense going for him. Had we not signed Da Silva, Havili makes sense in that he would be a 14 that could play forwards and fill in for Smith for a break.
If we did get him for cheap, then have to deal with it, not great but if we get him along with 2-3 other good signings who cares. Could be a nice third string Hooker.
It is a mixure of Ryles saying he wants this person and MON gets them and Ryles saying he wants say a Hooker and MON finds one. Or MON suggests certain players to Ryles. I believe Ryles would get final say.
"I don't see Ryles as a "rookie" just new.
Frankly I dont see top 8 as exceptable next year unless the circumstances leave us there.
I will be disappointed at anything less than top 5....obviously not getting 4 and finishing 5 will be considered a…"
"We were still fine but a little off and still won. If we played how we did v NQ i don't think we beat Brisbane. But it is something i guess we can never full measure and is based on opinion.
Cowboys got 2 tries in that 2nd half from our mistakes."
"Bluey, like you, I'd love to be a fly on the wall.
But I'd say R&R is not really a democratically-voted committee. It's more a round-table team with Ryles as the head decision-maker with a code.
After all, Ryles lives and dies by results.…"

No! No! No! Nooooo!
If this is true, MON should be kicked on his butt by a thoroughbred horse. This is crazy!
What's this got to do with Mon. Ryles picks who he wants, not Mon.
@Michael, Tell us you don't know how it works without telling us you don't know how it works.
or Wiz, tell us you don't understand what you don't understand......
