Watching last night, I don't believe Dylan is anywhere the level he was attaining.

Whether it is the ACL tear (definitely lost pace) but his body language showed to me in pre and post game interviews he doesn't want to go anywhere. I think he sees Parra is home and whilst no one can complain for him taking the 13m, I wonder if he will ever be happy in the Knights wilderness.

I have always been a DB fan, but I also think we burn't him out in the last 2 seasons and confused his role in the process.

I now see DB as a 600pa player and if he maintained his original potential say 800k. i.e my implication is he has lost 25% as a player.

WE have most probably won the jackpot as I think we have seen the best of him whereas I question his future now. I would be surprised if he retains his NZ Test status when you look at the Warriors and their young half.

Watching his current game he is missing tackles, whereas previously he hardly missed a thing. He has also lost confidence in the line, doesn't know or understand his role by the rules that made him recognised in the first place.

We are very lucky and whilst it has been said repeatedly, I cannot believe how dumb the Knights are as he will never be the play maker they have signed for. O'Sullivan has a lot to answer for!

                  • Great convrsation you guys, as Coryn says DB is a pretty tired subject these days, but I think the NOS and Coryn discussion is well worth thinking about for the morons out there that think he is worth fcuk all.

The Hughes example is also very interesting, I like the fact that Mum and Dad have less distance to travel and yes he may be leaving a few hundred thousand on the table but personal choices can always outweigh monetary ones.

Even Wiz who is renowned for his cynicism add's value with awkward questions and Adam, full marks to him as he has consistently kept his views on a balanced cause through the processes.

  • He doesn't want to leave, the money was just too much.

I agree that he has lost some pace and just overall he seems to have lost some of his "X-factor". He has been burned out and been playing on a messy left edge where he's been putting out fires all over and having to lead the attack with Moses mostly injured.

It was a stupid deal by the Knights on a player they do need really.

    We will move on.

  • If we get Glavin thats the final jackpot.

You see Moses on 100% footy with his sly smile when asked about him.

    • Don't know what that means?

PS I think we can do better than Galvin if we have to pay 1m. Happty to see him become a million dollar player, but he is no further advanced than some ofhis peers at 3/4 the price.

      • I don't believe it but I agree with Flippa.  Galvin has a very long way to go before he's a million dollar player. Why get rid of one bloke that never forfilled his hype for another we have to wait for him to achieve his?

        • This million dollar player discussion is based off supply and demand it's pure and simple it's never about what a fan thinks a players worth. How many players who get paid between 900-1.4 mill are actually worth that on the field and off of team results.I'd suggest very few.

I mean bad teams have to over pay there's no way around it how else are they going to entice top tier talent. There not listening to fans argh your worth this so you should be paid this wouldn't that be a hoot.

          • Supply and demand goes both ways. Theres only so many clubs that can offer him the contract and position he desires. And the only one likley to offer him the huge money he's already stupidly made public he's not interested in.  Then factor in salary cap restraints and his option pool is very very tiny.

People make out like there's some kind of halves shortage , but it's total bullshit you've swallowed from managers .  Yeah there's not 10 to choose from , but they're certainly not needle in a haystack either. Galvins a living breathing example of what can be found with a decent scout. Your Jarome Hughes is another who was plucked from obscurity,  Sextons another .... there are more halves than clubs needing them that's for sure.

            • Wiz, I think I prefer Floppa/Ploppa to Flippa.

I was only thinking this morning where I see Moses and DCE picked in their respective Origin teams.

Two views I had was Moses doesn't compliment Cleary and that DCE by his own admission is at the end....Deardon is there at 14 after always being a 7 and he outshone Moses in the Test series. With the players Qld now have out, I can see the experience that DCE offers is relevant to not having any more changes. Is that Flipping?

Well you can say I am a Flippa, but every one of us on social media has views, how you express them whether arogantly or just differently is subjective to circumstances, assuming you are capable of cognantly appreciating them.......now that is probably too heavy for you but I enjoy providing contrarian views, too many out there just follow the pack and are scared of being shown up as wrong.

Most on here are comfortable with me being wrong, I am most certainly accepting of a good argument proving me so, even if providing it myself.

  • good read Pops. Dyla to me seems to still down in confidence from his ACL tear like still worried it may go again. I think he is really worried about going to Newie as they will never be any good while O'brien is the coach. You see against us they had no system that put any pressure on the defense. I think Dylbags is slowly getting better and also is better than people give him credit for as he put the bomb up for Moses to score and was partly responsible for our better attack. Hopefully we get a good 5/8 as it will be very painful if we don't as it is real easy to shut the attack down if it all goes through 1 player which will be Moses. Don't know about Galvin as not sold on him especally for top $.

  • His always going to have a soft spot for Parra and loves the club. In the end can't blame him for that money that got offered to him
