I hardly ever have posted straight after a match..... but that is the most disgusting gutless performances I have witnessed for a very long time.
We were terrible against Melbourne, marginally better rounds 1 and 2 but tonight has to take the cake.
People can ask legitimately how many points and embarrasment has Lomax saved us. His absence tonight shows up some glaring things about what his contribution has meant to date.
I did not want to say this and I had no intention of doing so this early but the coaching staff looks like a total disaster. Well at least the head coach and I do not care about it being BA's side, that's bullshit! Ryles hands are over everything. I feel sorry for the decent players we have, namely Lomax, Hopgood, JAC, Walker, and a few of the young ones having a go namely Smith Ilongi and I am sure i have missed a couple in both sections.
I should not focus on individuals, just the seemingly glaring coaching inadequacies, Christ our players do not know how to hold the ball properly going into a tackle. The technique they have lacks school boy basics, how does a coach stand up for such rubbish. We cannot organise a goal line drop out!
I think the coach needs to be called in with a please explain and some hard questions asked. Tonight was RUBBISH!
The writing was on the wall when about 25 minutes into the game, Kautoga and Lane were still on the field. From what I can see Kautoga played the full 80 minutes. For the coach to leave hm on, knowing he had not used Matterson at that point then he is either blind, obstinate or a fool. The other aspect is we had the embarrassment and experience of watching the Darwin game go down in flames 12 months ago and if we could not approach this game with at least the experience of that disaster ringing in our ears, then we are either bereft of talent or as dumb as dog shit!
I said just before the season started never thinking this would happen but I made a comment, rather fecitiously that "dont worry, if we are nought from six then they "the haters" will be calling for the coaches head. Who would have thought I would be doing the calling and its only round 5 completed. The one win we do have, does not count as hindsight tells us that Lomax picked them up and carried them across the line.
Can anybody tell me something positive that I have missed?
PS Don't think about buying someone, who would want to play for Parra. We need a new coach, to bring in and just teach them the basics of the game and develop some self respect.
Sack Ryles and ask McDermott to come down and coach them....... I see no answers if our coach cannot make decisions that "blind freddie" can see. Yes it is a shame and I feel very badly for Jason Ryles, but cannot help but remember Wiz saying he couldn't manage his sisters coffe shop.

Pops i really don't think it matters who coaches us some of these players are just not first grade players. Wayne bennett rejected us i believe even he knew he couldn't do anything with this crop. Even madge pulled out of the race.
Sarantinos needs to go. O'Neill needs to go and ben rodgers needs to go. Sack the board bring in people have have a clue. Hire a decent ceo and get a better scout also. We could of had O'Sullivan but of course the inept board and ceo are clueless.
This job was not for a Rookie coach they tried this in 2011 and it got us 2nd last then two consecutive spoons. I do agree McDermott should of been hired but as we all know parramatta are rated 1# in fucking things up. This club now doesn't give two fucks about the fans never have. But whilst the members keep renewing the club will think everything is OK.
I don't believe the whole "Madge rejected us claim" I feel Parra didn't want him.
As for McDermott. I brought him up at the start for his defence, but let's be fair nobody else is even close to hiring him over the past few years. His name never comes up.
A good coach and coaching staff should at least be able to improve the team as a whole on the very basics of football.
I am not seeing any evidence from Ryles and Nathan Brown to suggest there is light at the end of the tunnel. I fear the club is headed for the darkest 4 years it's ever been.
I fear it will be more than that.
Ryles I don't think will see out his 4 years. He will be offered as sacrifice when public opinion turns on the management, much like BA was.
They will hire the next up and coming assistant coach for the role and rinse and repeat
Seraph i will say this. Many have knocked the idea of getting the next boom assistant or a rookie. Look at the history coaches to win a comp. Last 25 years in particular. Just a quarter, if not under have won a comp with their second team, after either winning one or not with their first. The rest won it with their first team.
Everyone wants experience but doesn't always work. I cannot tell you the answer but a 2 or 3rd team coach, unless it is one of a kind like Bellamy or Bennett or Robinson, is more likely not the answer either. We knock Ryles for being an assistant at Melbourne. Well Ciraldo was an assistant at Penrith? Not saying Ryles will achieve similar, more so all coaches start somewhere and being an assistant or a rookie should not be a knock.
I'd tear it down from the top much like a roster looks to add better players why can't we use the same template for administrators.I'd be head hunting a new CEO a new HoF as starters our chairman can do that because as we've already seen it matters not in the coaching scheme of things.
Just in repy to you LB. my problem is.......and you have heard this before, the coaches are not "chess pieces" either and the precedents with other coaches is not now relevant. We have decisions to make and I undertand Coryn's rebuild from the admin out. The problem with the admin is they made a decision re Ryles and they need to pay for it. I have supported them to the hilt but the reality is "stark".
Replacing them is no easier than replacing the players.
Ciraldo is the only possible light in the tunnell (example wise), yes he had a similar start to his career as HC but at least he had players of some experience.......we have for all intents and purposes his discards from those efforts.
We need to hear "loud and clear" from this exercise and even to do that will be devisive!
Ciraldo has a football mind behind him a servant when it comes to building and making correct footballing decisions knowing down the track these will see fruition.
Thats the biggest problem at Parra we don't have that and it seems they've thrust that all on JR and Brown. It's a disjointed vision we run and when it goes tits up our higher ups aren't held to account and then we just rinse wash repeat the same failed process.
Ill continue to ask this how long can we continue to run with a failed model even though it worked with Gurr MoN and BA to a point. Now we are at a real cross roads if we don't want to continue like we are something has to change.Sure give JR time give it to him but instead of looking at next week next month have a plan for what it wants to look like in 2-3 years time I'm not really sure we have that.
Thats the biggest difference is the experience and oversight. Ciraldo has Been given every opportunity and tool to succeed, whereas Ryles I think has been set up to fail.
To me, the reason why the club wanted a rookie coach was because an experienced one would call out the managerial shortcomings and take them to task. The 'attempt' to try and get Bennett was just smoke and mirrors. They knew from day dot they wouldnt be able to work with a Bennett/Bellamy/Flanno/Madge type
LB, I wasn't taking a shot at Ryles. I've backed him from the start. Every head coach is an assistant at some point. Some progress to head coach level, some become specialised.
I just don't think he will be able to succeed with the quality of management above him. I think that in their eyes, a rookie coach is easier to control and eventually scapegoat as there isn't a proven history of a winning coach. That, and its also a cost saving exercise, simply put you pay more for experience.
Can you imagine the spotlight that would be cast on the admin level if say we did get a Bennett or Bellamy over the line and still came up with a wooden spoon? Coaches like that aren't afraid to call shite out within their orgs if it rears its head.
