Moses started very well , he was obviously told to run . He ran like Forrest Gump a few times early and then kinda defaulted back to structured Mitch and faded away . He did a few really good things , but I don't think he stuck to his instructions once it was evident he was not going to just run through them .
Then Cleary started running . Moses and Cleary was a failure last night .
They both play too similiar for me; but gee Moses saved a try with great goaline defence. That was a superb ball and all tackle.
He made 3 great tackles on the line, 2 on nanai and 1 on tino.
Yeah cracking tackle on Nanai , commentators were shocked , think they expected old mate to run over him .
Exactly right Moses was great defensively they basically shut down the maroons the whole game and like you say made some terrific one on one tackles kicked when he needed to and the money ball both him and Latrell delivered imo was the best try of the game.
Really moses and luai should have been retained as the blues halves, they created history last year but because cleary is regarded as the best halfback, if not the best player, it would be too controversial to leave him out. Let's be honest, cleary has never dominated at origin level, moses has on a few occasions.
No chance HKF Moses was going great guns but without a doubt Cleary is the best player in the game as long as those fowards give him time and space this series is nsw to lose.
If you want to win a premiership cleary is the best option but winning origin moses has proven to be better. It took cleary 8 origin games to get his first try assist, moses got 1 in his first.
I know it's controversial but I have the balls to state in my opinion moses is a better origin player than cleary.

Its not a slight on your opinion or Moses as a player either.
I know they couldn't pick moses over cleary because if you lose your job would be on the line.
It would have been interesting if madge was still nsw coach because he would have been under enormous pressure to repay the guys that won for him last year, much easier for a new coach to go with cleary.
Having said all that, no matter which half gets chosen the other should miss out for luai. It's either cleary and luai or moses and luai.
