He has done what has been required of him, regarding any lack of Defence issue he had, working on playing in a position that he has never played in until two years ago and doing well at that........so wonder what the real issue with giving him a run is? It's round seven and they can't even give him a plan, they have been playing players with injury, so what impression does that give young Roe? Yep be patient......that's a great way to build confidence.
If his not good enough for Para cut him away, I'm sure he would get a run at the other clubs who are interested in him.
Need some more firepower off that bench but it's good to see Makelim back. Now that we have a more natural fullback, Davis can focus on excelling in the centres.
Makelim at fullback definitely gives you that second 5/8 and it means Davis doesn't have to worry about covering all the back-field and he can focus on his running game.
He would definitely be welcome at other clubs and with his size and speed he'd be an absolute beast in Under 20's. The only reason I couldn't see him getting picked is maybe they think Moeroa is an 80 minute player and when Newbigging goes off Tanginoa or Muala will push a bit wider. I suppose the first thing Lachie should do is try and work his way into the starting side for Guildford and then try to dominate from there, it should be easy for a kid his size.
He played at prop last week.
Precisely.
And that is an area that Davis excels in.
