So if a player agent advises some player not to go to R360 then by the way it's written, having advised them in any capacity, should be banned for 10 years.

The NRL will come out of this looking stupid. When roosters or broncos decide they want a player, the loopholes will be exposed. They are already talking up Mark Nawaqanitawase going back to rugby for a year or 2 and returning to NRL so why should he be allowed and not others. How about players and clubs which break contracts all the time. Why is this suddenly where contracts will be enforced.
If they try to ban a player it will be fought in court and The NRL have a poor record enforcing any of their decisions in legal courts, like kicking Rabbits out of comp or Terry Hill and the draft. Even earlier Dennis Tutty also won legal case of unreasonable restraint of trade.
1 thing is the wording of any policy. The wording saying any NRL player would infer they are currently contracted so how about uncontracted players? They should be free to do as they please. If Parra agree to release Lomax he is uncontracted and therefore not a NRL player and free to do as he pleases as he isn't breaking a contract so why should he be punished.
I think not picking players in representative games would probably be allowed but not registering a contract at all is a stretch.
They don't want players breaking contracts mid contract, but the NRL is fine with clubs offloading players mid contract.
Nobody is offloaded mid contract unless they agree to it, which is why Matterson and Hands are still at the club. All the players who did leave or retire chose to.
That's total crap Pou, RCG had a 5yr contract with Penrith, he was told he wasn't wanted, same with Waqa Blake. How many players are in a similar situation, their previous club paying part of their salary at another club. This is how clubs offload players, still contracted, they don't want
This could only be a temporary fix. If Rugby 360 ends up working and still exist after a couple years, what happens then? Players will be willing to end their NRL career because they will be earning millions and not scared of the comp just folding
R360 wants to work, they will do everything within their power to make it succeed. God help the NRL if it does succeed.
