If that's the case, he'll ensure the players in front of him aim up every week to keep their spot
Dont think we need TDS as Walker can fill the roll his playing as can play lock, center, in the halves and fill in as dummy half if Smith needs a rest. I'd have Tuivaiti as the other bench player as he would allow another interchange to spell tiring forwards and needs mo re tine in first grade not reserve grade to develope. Would be offering more and a better reserve than TDS.
TDS is not there to be a utility. He's there as a two way punch at Hooker. Seems Ryles wants that tactic.
But to say don't need him as Walker can do this and this is redundant to say as TDS is not here to play that. Not saying you but some here have a massive agenda in TDS and hope he is not there.
Give the kid this season. Then after that can make fair judgement.
maybe LB but the games I've seen TDS play for us and the tigers he has alot of maturing to do as makes alot of selfish plays stunting the attack and would be better off learning in reserve grade and he is playing a utility except he can only cover hooker so he is just wasting a reserve spot as Smith is a better hooker at this time. Tuivaiti is a good middle and will only get better getting time in the NRL side and gives our other middles a break. If a forward goes down we have been weakened as we loose a forward and they than tire weakening our defense. The only time TDS helps is to give Smith a rest which Walker can provide and the only other time for TDS is if Smith gets injuried which Walker can fill in.
TDS was a bad buy.
He'll come good, everyones got wraps on him. With a full pre season he should exel. He's got some harry grant about him. Both TDS and Ryley Smith have something special which hasn't been seen in a long time at parra.
In time he will come good.
Let's give him a full season first. He just turned 20 and didn't have a pre-season with us. Let's give him 2026 then comment.
I just hope that we train R Smith into a B Smith type player. Someone that can play in the middle. Not a fan off carrying two players that can only play hooker in the same 17 regardless of how good they are. Need one of them to be able to play another position (preferable in the middle)
Actually EA Ryley while playing Flegg for the panthers played in the halfs as well as hooker at various times . So if push came to shove my humble opinion is the kid would do a great job job where ever if needed . He is just a real goer
