NAS free to leave storm,

Big Nelson has been given the green light to find a new club by the Storm. If the price is right maybe Ryles can get something out of the big fella. On his day can be a damaging middle. In other news Ado Carr is the latest target of R360 but it just says they have contacted him. Doubt he'd ever take that up

  • If we can get him cheap and fix up his discipline I like it

    • Off the bench 20-25 minutes of impact agree, Ryles might bring him across

      • Him and pezet not bad and the poaching clause will be done

        • Storm have just outright released him, he can go wherever he likes. Im guessing dragons manly or south's prob chasing him hard for a middle

    • No to NAS.
As someone else pointed out, his size/height for the modern game is a liability.

I think we should look at David Fifita. Souths are struggling to find cap space and GC willing to offer $250K a year freight (x2 years)... meaning he'll cost around $700K a season. He's only 25, and has some good years ahead of him, if he can get his head and fitness right.

      • I don't mind that. Gold Coast showed their hand now the other clubs have the leverage. If they are that desperate they can pay more than $250k. He has one year left, why not do a one year prove it deal?

Issue is he wants to go to Souths as he trusts Wayne to get him where he needs to be. Ryles could do that as he did with JAC, but have to wait and see.

If it was announced Fifita signed with us, i wouldn't be too upset.

  • Many in the game think he's simply too tall. Now the rules around head contact have changed, simply by standing still, NAS will get penalised when opposition players run into him.

    • Good point Mutts!

    • Can't remember which show I was watching, maybe matty Johns and cooper Cronk? Anyway, they were discussing whether or not Nelson is still suited to being in the nrl. They think not

    • Maybe he should run backwards muttman.  Then they'll be zero chances of shoulder to the head right..

Do you have such an inflated ego that you think that anything that is said on forums like these reaches or in any way, shape or form affects what happens at the club?
