Exactly what I expected has happened to Sanders. His development has stalled. Raiders have not developed a quality halfback in years. Sanders wanted the money and push for a FG option rather than be patient and develop under Moses. I remember saying this many times when the rumours were going around. Funny enough he would have played more games of NRL with us then he would have with Raiders. He would have been our backup half this year and gotten plenty of game time given Moses injuries.
Raiders traditionally struggle to get decent players to go to the nations capital and with both Joel Carbone the main recruitment officer and Mick Crawley the apparent mastermind to their resurgence both off to the Roosters (what a surprise) the Raiders might tumble just as quickly back down the ladder.
I see the Eels as favourites looking at this objectively, concerning to lose Lomax as coming out of our own end is a weakness so we desperately need a couple of line benders.
A middle who can absorb defenders early in a set and still make metres and an outside back who tears into the line with a quick play the ball and Pezet walks into a well quipped and well coached side.
Braith seems to be telegraphing linking with Ryles and being in Sydney is the preferred option.
Pezet will come to Parra, no scoops or sources, it just makes the most sense. He has only done logical and well measured things so far in his young career. Ryles is recreating a Melbourne Storm style environment at Parra. Moses and Pezet will be among the top Halves Combos in the league. Deadly kicking games, fantastic defense, Mitch is a runner and plays like a 6 at times. Jonah will let Mitch lead the team and play off the back of that, when Mitch is out Jonah is as good a back up as we can ask for. When they are both there they will have defenses in a spin! Bellyache will tell him that if he must go that it should be to Parra and JR.
We can also offer 800k which the others cannot.
Raiders will go backwards next season. Weekes is a good player as is Starling, they've both had outlier years and will return to their typical output, same as Kris, Savage, Papalii, and Hosking.
Remember all the bitching and moaning about Nathan Brown wanting out because of Jake yada yada yada , and Browns our biggest loss since the 01 grand final , toss toss toss , and now look how many clubs have moved the fuckwit along 😂. Now he's getting swapped for a broken down cripple with a genetic disease that has to be managed 24/7 lol.
I tried telling the anti BA brigade that we don't want guys that fight lollipop men , shirtless ,pissed , whilst out injured , on a school night , defending his bum chums honour , whether you spent your days sticking pins in your Brad Voodoo doll or not , the dudes a germ.
Whether he did or didn't give Jake a Chinese burn and tell him his dads a meany , maybe he did , Brown getting fucked off was a masterstroke .

You can't imagine Brown even getting a look in this season under Ryles. If BA didn't move him on Ryles would have done it anyway. It goes to show what a mess we were in just a year or so ago.
I like what Ryles is building here, and with a few more astute signings and another season under our belt we could be the club with the most to gain over the next few years. That will attract talent and keep the juniors on their toes. Let's hope that trajectory keeps going up.

Yep I was saying the same thing as well. Ricky is the grim reaper for halfbacks. Hes had so many talented Jnr halves and killed them all.

More likely to win a premiership with Ryles than with Sticky
With Pezet signing with the Eels, it will come down to if he is happy to play #6. Pezet might prefer to play half-back.
Has been for a never was

Best thing that happened was finishing the year with 3 straight wins. Gives confidence and belief of what is happening.
