Box the first 4 in that betting order with a view of getting the Trifecta. Your outlay will be $24 to achieve this for a 100% return $6 will return you 25% if you want just a small flutter.

OK First 4 for $100 will give you a 46% return .......recommend $54 for 25%

Mark, I think the best way to approach it is to open an account. With either the TAB or a Corporate Bookmaker. The biggest and most popular would be Sports bet or Ladbrokes. You can try also Palmer bet, you will find them easy to deal with, The bigger players are less personable.

PS You will never win betting like you can with lotto but you are making your own decisions and in that sense, partly in charge of your destiny. Favourite horses were a couple of Welter Class horses that ran every other week in Sydney in the 70s. Western Yarn and Butch Cassidy. They were good for a get out in the last most weeks.
Gunsynd was definitely a favourite, Luskin Star, Octagonal and Lonrho, then Winx ...nowadays not so much favourite horses as better investments than others
Butch Cassidy always finished strong. Trained by Brian Mayfield Smith at 25/1 at Rosehill on a Saturday- was a good payday.
