Mannah told the Herald that he believed he was ready and this opinion was backed up by Nathan Hindmarsh who said that, despite being "raw", Mannah was ready for the step-up,
Mannah also gave this revealing quote to The Herald as to why his game had evolved so much this season.
"'I just try to make sure I bring something to the table when I do come on. I've tried to learn off all of the props at Parra - the power of Fui, the leadership of Cayless and the workrate of 'Poorey' [Justin Poore]. Last year, I was just concentrating on trying to hold a spot in the team by not stuffing up. This year, I'm trying to make an impact. If we're in front, I talk a lot to try to keep the guys going. If we're behind, I try to do something to add some spark. I've been working hard to develop an offload, too. I learned a lot from playing in big games for Parra towards the end of last season.''
Mannah is a potential Parramatta captain. 1Eyed Eel can reveal that two weeks ago, Nathan Cayless was asked to nominate a long-term successor at a Wentworthville junior training session and he said he saw Tim Mannah as the most likely candidate for the job.

Who do people see as Cayless replacement as starting forward? I think I would go with Poore because I think he would compliment Fui well if that makes sense. Timmy off the bench is the way to go for me. Also is Hindy likely to keep his spot in the Blues squad for game 3?
There was always potential in him as he was a stand out in the juniors and he went okay last year in 1st grade but I thought it would take 2 or 3 more seasons before he was playing up to the level he is at already.
Gun.
I've said in the past i'm not a fan of front rowers as captains, but I'll happy to give Timmy my endorsement! :-)
He is our Courageous Captain Caylo!
I heard an interview with Thaiday this year and he said that the reason his form has improved so much this year is because he is confident in his place in the team and is now less worried about stuffing up and making mistakes and is just enjoying his footy.
Tim is effectively saying this in only his second year of football! He is SUCH an amazing player. Props don't usually develop until their late 20's and for him to be showinfg the form he is showing and at such a young age is wonderful.
He truly is a Super Mannah. And I am a major 'Fannah' of 'Tim Mannah'. :-)
