              • We don't choose the opponent in Magic Round, we would have opted to be the home side this year as we've never been the home side before. The NRL then chooses the opponent. Same thing happened in Darwin. The club told the NRL they were taking games to Darwin and asked for Canberra/Penrith/Melbourne. We got some of those, then the NRL decided we could play Queensland teams there.

We played Melbourne at CommBank last year. Still got beaten.

We played 13 games at CommBank last year.

Virtually every single team does exactly this. They all take games away from their home ground.

                • Why do we need to be the same as virtually every team? There's no rule that says you need to take home games away.
We had 13 at home in 2025 thanks to the Tigers and Panthers. That's great, in 2026 we could have had 14 at home. There is literally no such thing as too many home games.
BTW Broncos had 14 at home this year. They won the comp!

            • It was a Thursday night, cold and raining when we played the Storm at CommBank. I guarantee you if it were a Friday night game, crowd would get to15-20k.

looks like we also changed our emblem lol

    • When did we change our name to the Parramatta retarded sperms..

  • So we finally rid ourselves of the dreaded Darwin home game and replace it with a home game against the storm in Brisbane,  great work by the club.

    • Hkf im pretty sure in the previous three magic rounds you'll find that we've been the ones who benefited by playing other team's home games there

This isn't replacing Darwin mate, its an annual thing where sometimes you have to give up a home match.

It has nothing to do with the club or Darwin

      • This has replaced Darwin Chiefy. The club has agreed a 5yr deal to take a home game to Magic Round until the end of 2030, with the other 11 home games taking place at CommBank.

        • Are you being serious?

If so, it really equates to taking two or at the most 3 home games away from Commbank.

The reason is every team must take games away from their home games to magic round and also Vegas.   Its just the luck of the draw

Also, its said that Parramatta have a big following in Brisbane,  so taking two home games there in 5 years is a better result than taking 5 games to Woop Woop because we're going to Brisbane in any case

So this is a very smart decision by the club who'll not only benefit financially,  but actually gain home matches

          • It's not nailed on that we're taking a home game to Magic Round for 5 years. The club is very interested in having a home game played in Vegas.

The club will maintain 11 home games at CommBank per season though.
