Inside word I've been hearing is that Parra were in the running for Keaon Kalamatangi, that changed Friday when the Roosters jumped in with their '300k (per year for 3yrs) third party property portfolio'.
Back to the drawing board Mark O'Neill. Again!!!!

It's because there are like 6 west Sydney teams fighting for the same TPAs. Clubs in their own area have a massive advantage
Roosters already got a forward pack off:
8. Collins
9. Robson
10. Whyte
11. Crichton
12. Radley
13. Watson
14. Ioleu
15. Leniu
16. Wong
17. N Butcher
18. E Butcher
Then you got gun juniors in Foketi and Steep coming through. So its either BS or there will be a good forward at the roosters looking for a club.
How dare you accuse me of such BS. Where's Poppa?
I'm here my son!
Am I the only person that thinks Keaon is slightly overated? He is a stat padder. Makes tackles and runs deccent meters. Really similar to May. But when you look at their impact per carry its levels below AFB, Haas, Tapine, Whyte and those elite forwards.
I would still want him at the club for sure but I think people rate him in the elite level. I think he is slightly below that.
I agree and yes he would be nice to have but there has to be a limit you are prepared to pay for a player that isn't going to move the needle a whole lot.
How come Roosters have so many 3rd Party Deals. Are Eels board just total 'Party Poopers'
Politis knows business.
The vast majority of third party deals are exactly the same as the ones the eels got done cheating for. Former salary cap auditor Ian Schubert informed the club about this when we got done cheating, he encouraged the club to take the NRL to court over it.
Under the rules they are pretty much all illegal but the NRL won't investigate them thoroughly unless there is a whistle-blower. The eels already got done cheating this way once, we can't afford to get caught doing it again.
