Big Nelson has been given the green light to find a new club by the Storm. If the price is right maybe Ryles can get something out of the big fella. On his day can be a damaging middle. In other news Ado Carr is the latest target of R360 but it just…

Well I basically answered your question....What do you consider X factor.
The examples you phrased are your examples, mine was the Lomax factor.
You want Jack Cogger and Sean O'Sullivan to be yours, circumstances may create many moments like that....with anyone that has kicked a goal or scored a try.....circumstances are always relative.
You could say that a fantastic try in an under 18's game was a x factor moment.....in 18's he maybe seen as an x factor player, just in his own group. These issues are semantic.....we won a horse race at Gympie and thought she was a champion (at least my wife did...it was in her name)
She never won another race! Its all relevant.
As Wiz said in a previous post, context is always relevant.
Well no you did not, i was asking that if those players, who are considered ok players but journeyman, are X-Factors for doing very similar? Lomax kicked a 2 pointer for Dragons before, O'Sullivan's was on an angle and on the run, very impressive. If he is an X-Factor he should be signed by a club to be a starter. He is not he is a back-up at Canterbury. Cogger is now 14 at Penrith.
You are trying to make it that i consider them that where i am saying since they did similar to your example does that put them in same category? Always reletive then every player in the comp in some way is an X-Factor with that logic.
People can have X-Factor moments but are not X-Factor players. The players i listed yesterday are players since they constantly provide X-Factor plays.
Saying it is all relevant it is not. We are talking about X-Factor players, i said i consider an X-Factor player to be one who can create from nothing and can instantly win games. Those that you look at with 2 to go with 6 mins left and think "He can do it".
You bring up Wiz and yet he is on same page as me.
X factor player is a player who can flip a game , the unkown of what you'll get. Not always a positive play , Lomax , no , it's pretty safe to say that 90% of the time you'll know exactly what you'll get.
X factors the guy you'll put on or look to for a roll of the dice when you're trailing with 10 to go. PJ marsh , Ben Barba , Dylan Walker this year became an X factor player, Feleti Mateo ( to highlight how it can be a total negative if it doesn't pay off ) David Solomona was a great example of a positional X factor , ditto Blake Furgo , Sam Burgess
Yeah you could say Cleary after that GF demonstration, Moses , no , he's very structured and predictable , the most X factor players are usually the guys that play off the cuff. Benji Marshall for a halves example.
Yes Wiz, Trell could do nothing for 77mins of a game, then out of nowhere do a chip and chase or throw a killer ball to Johnston or make a break out of nowhere to win it for Souths.
As i mentioned before, examples like Teddy, Walsh, Turbo, Trell, Pap. JAC showed qualities with his chip and chase tries and the try v NQ where he ran so fast to cover a Moses kick.
Yeh! I don't disagree with that, I disagree with Wiz thinking PJ Marsh, Dylan Walker and Feleti were X factor players, but that is no different to any of the other subjective opinions.
I would say that Lomax, whether it is a freak catch off a kick, a reverse pass off the touchline or a dive for the line (most wingers seem adept at that now) but many of those same wingers cannot do the overall things. He also has a killer offload and does 20 hitups a game. His goal kicking was disappointing this season gone, but I would like to think it is an aberation and he will get it back. He did go through a similar horror patch with St George in the same period that I thought he was a "horror" buy. Wiz loves to remind me of that.
Whether you put an X there or not, he is still a bloody important player for Parra.
PS LB, I do remember things from the past but sometimes my brain seems to forget things that it doesn't prioritise as important. Whether you believe me or not on the Blair Mills thing doesn't worry me. It is not important to worry about that shit when you get a bit older. I hope Coryn's recollections meet my subconscious prioritistion.
I mentioned JWH yesterday at the roosters.I think the mentioned has as much xfactor as Teddy if you ask me.
JWH in his prime his xfactor was intimidation and instilling confidence in the dressing room before and during games. That's game changing right there but because it's not highlight footage worthy it won't rate a mention.
Good point Coryn.
Oh you will never hear me say he is not a loss. He is a great player, losing a great player is a loss regardless of anything.
The fact you said he was a horror buy, gives me hope for Pezet ahahaha.
Don't stress on the Blair Mills thing. Just a jab. You jab me i jab you and could do it back i could do it back. Main thing i do is move and treat you normally if you either ask me something or reply to something. That is who i am. I do it everyday for my job.
Why did the Broncos win a comp with 2 wingers who wouldn't cost over 300k each??? Wingers aren't everything and 700k for Lomax is ridiculous. The Storm Wingers aren't on that much
Agree with this 100%. Lomax is a great winger and has that winner mentality. But at the end of the day he is just a winger. Parra has lost many wingers over the years that we said could not be replaced... Semi, Fergo to name some recents. The money is better spent elsewhere right now and hopefully that winner mentality has rubbed off on afew around him.
