Gents, is this potentially a case of how bad the dragons are, that a proven player like Val, cant make a difference and playing like a busted?
if Val is on $900k and parra potentially get him for $450k, for a year and a half. id say thats a win. we have some wholes to fill and it could an opportunistic signing and getting Su'A early?
We wouldn't know what the deal could be money wise, all I know is that Holmes is cooked. It would be a stupid move no matter tge deal. We need to spend the dollars on younger better players like Xerri or Averillo. Jenkins ect.
Well you do not have to convince me Chief. It would be we get Holmes for $400-500k or so. That frees up nearly $500k for them. I do not see Ryles being interested in Holmes now. Centre of all positions at the moment have the most value in the market.
Baracuda i am not a fan of getting older in the backs. We need to get younger overall but we need athletic backs. Chief is right, Holmes is finished. When we have the likes of Xerri, Timoko, perhaps Tago, Jenkins on the market, Holmes is a no go.
