Execution, pack dominance, ball control and the errors will be everything. It could become a battle of blunders. The Eels have made more errors than their opponent in every game this year, bar three. Manly matched their 15 errors last week. Commbank's lights also makes it challenging when it comes to defusing high balls. Should we expect chaos?
Who's spine and playmakers will rise? The Eels have won only 4 of 21 games without Moses — but 3 of those 4 were at CommBank. They rise at home more often. Been a long time since we've seen this kind of energy & effort consistently week in, week out.
We have been praising the improvement in our attacking shapes and ball movement but I am more impressed with our improvement in defence. It's the hardest part of the game so takes longer to improve but the improvement in attitude, structure, first contact, line speed, patience and concentration has been massive is a few short weeks.
Because we have gone a bit smaller we are more laterally capable now so when it gets out of structure we are still getting numbers and presenting a straight line to the ball we saw a bit of that tonight.
The edges look very secure more so than ever that's a positive alone.For me it stems from the inside they don't have to worry about there inside shoulders because there's always someone coming again this goes back to being more laterally capable.
Iongi's high ball diffusal has improved from the jump even though there's still an error in him there's still confidence that they can defend these errors more consistently.
