Game Day Blog - Bulldogs vs Eels

This afternoon we see the boys take on the Bulldogs in enemy territory. Our second Monday game of the year and it seems an eternity since we have watched the Eels play.

The biggest news regarding the Eels line up is RCG returning today and can't wait to see him rip in albeit probably playing less minutes than usual.

The biggest news for the Dogs line up is Mahoney free to play which in my opinion increases our chances of a win! It did last time, but I have a feeling he'll be up for this game and hopefully doesn't cause To’o much damage...

It"s always a big game between these two teams and yet another rivalry. Conditions should be good and I'm pretty sure it will be an exciting game this afternoon.

So, who wins and by what margin?

MOM Moses - he will need to step up with the absence of Dylbro.

  • Going to the game today!

Looking forward to see Asi play but not too keen on seeing Davey..

    • Enjoy mate!

Yes, ASI playing will be great to watch and BA"s milestone game overtaking Smith etc.

  • Hope you're right about Mahoney Grunts. There's no doubt he would have been focussed on this game since being badly embarrassed at Commbank in Rd 7. Might be a different story this afternoon in front of a dogs home crowd and he'll no doubt let us know about it if they win. Not feeling good about this game

    • Bit nervous myself, but I'm going to the game with the fellas. Gna enjoy the day out and enjoy a good game hoping for a win. Go Parra !!

        • Lol Frank! Great prediction!

  • Dogs played ok against the Roosters last start. Their left edge has some real strike and Burton's boot is obviously dangerous for his crazy bombs but also his kicks behind the line for Ado-Carr. They can score some points.
This is a game for the middle third. If we dominate the middle, control the ball we win.
If we get caught into side-to-side stuff and poor completions we could end up in a fight.
This is a game suited to BA's favourite game plan. Chase the collision, front load the effort, high completions and we'll be ok.

"Well if a player is not that good at times it is talent and committment also. Is Talagi good? Not at this stage, but that can be on coaching a little due to how he has been developed. But at same time, if he is not that good it could be he is not…"
