Yeah, I knew his salary would still be counted on the cap, but if we're having to keep him because no-one else wants him, we might as well have an extra junior in the 30. It looks like Ryles is not playing Matto next year, so might as well have as many we can on the 30 to cover injury. A lot can happen in the offseason. From memory Rylie and Tuivati weren't top 30 for the season just completed. There could be another smokie that demands selection and use mattos spot if required.

Yes, Sam could have been the victim of his own success. He was just playing too well to leave out. Even though he was a big body, he was a young body. Hopefully this offseason helps in conditioning it to more physicality
Thanks for the tip EA. I'll keep an eye out for his name during various reports that will be done. Living in Qld I don't get to see many of the juniors coming through. I don't post too much but definitely read all your blogs on the juniors. Very informative and balanced. I really appreciate the efforts you put into those reports. Hopefully we might see one during the preseason reporting on the juniors who are doing the full preseason with the top side.

T Brown is a different body shape to what we have. Similar to Jesse Bromwich. Solid work ethic and good footwork for someone his size. His injury in his cup debut really hindered his season. As LB said the pre season trial game showed the club see something in him.
I think he'll be training with the cup team or Ron massey cup
