"EA, as usual i ask, how did Funa-Iuta and Talagi go starting? I see Funa-Iuta played most if not all the game.
Also, is Shane-Tapau worth a consideration in future or just making numbers at the moment?"

If you were around 40 years ago you would understand that is a meaningless stat.
Sandon Smith has been dropped from the Roosters 17, sounds like a good opportunity to pounce.
I actually feel Ryles saw Papali'i as two things to start the year. 1) As genuine competition for Iongi, knowing confidently that Iongi more likely beats him out but better to have competition and a decent replacement. 2) Be that 14 that Walker is, though saw Walker being available and went that direction and worked well.
Papali'i is in that weird spot where Fullback is his best position. He did alright at 5/8 against Gold Coast as it was simple. Make his tackles, feed forwards, take a few runs. It was pedestrian but was needed to win and not get in the way of Hawkins. Though Ryles there would have seen Papali'i as a damn fine reliable player who can play Fullback, Wing, 5/8 or Hooker if desperate.
He will get his chance eventually where a club takes a punt on him being their Fullback and good luck to him, just at the moment Iongi is future star at Fullback and just wrong place wrong time for Papali'i again. But hey at least he made FG.
I still think getting TTM for 1 year is a good option.
I would of thought Smith will stay in our top 17 and play a dual role if he continues his improvement. Da Silva will be first choice hooker. We are definitely looking for an established 5/8 . Joash is a work in progress that may or may not make it. Cant really see him being our first choice going into next season. If he was you would think Ryles would be giving him game time there now.
We have a lot of cap $$ left to spend for next year.
Joash has got the number 1 in this weekends cup.....somebody else is playing 5/8.
Doesn't sound like he is being prepped for the position?
It is not someone. Is is Matthew Hunter. If you get the chance have a look at this guy? Joash is more likely being looked as a utility and Hunter likely a future 5/8.
I am not convinced on Hunter yet.
yeah Pops, it really dosnt does it.
That's probably his ceiling a good cup player and a fill in FGer when needed.
I mean if you can't crack a Dogs team that went out and bought a 6 then went and bought a journeyman in Tracey at fullback I don't know if there really is a long term future or position for Papali'i outside a temporary fill in.
If I'm honest about Papali'i is he just as mentioned like Volkman, give him a shot if it doesn't pan out move both on and move these youngsters coming in basically buying time for the mentioned to come through.
I think we going after Doueihi
