Not exactly. Samrani re-signed does that mean he is our Centre moving forward. Papali'i would be playing 6 if that is the case i reckon.
If that's the case based on what we've seen he's not the answer. Unless he starts to brain it, I just can't see him making that jersey his.

Patience Frankie & Wiz, we are building. Nothing against the signing, I like the kid, but not sure what the plan would be or how he will be utilised. Don't know about 5/8... almost seems a bit like a Talagi situation - trying to get him to fit a position he isn't ideally suited to.

Good point on 5/8 Seraph. He earlier on in the year was playing too good to keep out but Iongi was playing well too so where do you put him? Train him into a role that he needs to learn on top of learning to play NRL. I never fully bought Ryles being interested in playing Papali'i at 5/8. He used him v Gold Coast as a place holder having nobody else really and he did a basic job, enough to get the win.
Yet people complain we have no depth. Depth is usually NSW Cup quality players.
This year's FG team regularly has several depth players.
Looking forward to seeing what our "war chest" is going to do to get FG regularly into the pointy end of the comp.
Are we just going to give our juniors a shitload to stay a few years or actually buy a select few very good players in positions we are lacking?
I have a feeling thats the way its going to go. We'll at least have the best paid juniors in the league...
