GALVIN SHOCKS EELS

Lachlan Galvin’s decision to join Canterbury has gone down like a lead balloon with Sydney rivals the Eels.

Sport Confidential can reveal Parramatta bosses were supremely confident of securing Galvin and believed they had their man before being ambushed by the Bulldogs.

It is understood the Eels had tabled a multi-year, $1 million-a-season deal for Galvin to partner Mitchell Moses at the Parramatta scrumbase next year.

But the Wests Tigers young gun shocked the Eels by taking less to go to the Bulldogs.

Galvin’s management have been criticised for allegedly brainwashing the teenager but the 19-year-old made the call to reject Parramatta of his own volition.

  • The reports I seen was it was just over $800k.

Who is making the claim it was $1m?.

  • Bullet dodged.

Ridiculous offer if true for a 19 year old.

Its not Gus's money so he doesn't give a flying fk. Just like the $500k transfer fee they paid for the young kid who has moved on.

How many years were we paying overs for Brown to reach his potential.

I would be disappointed if we actually offered him $1M.

  • Enough with the Galvin talk.

    • 100%

  • Jesus that's how desperate we were..

  • If this is in fact true then Sarantonis and Mark O'Neill should be sacked ASAP.

The fact the CEO and board have zero idea how to make Parramatta a attractive club despite all the advantages they have to work with  after all this  time is pretty pathetic .

    • I mean yes but it's not happening these guys are going to lead us to premiership glory Frankie.

      Tongue and cheek.

Dont worry Frankie maybe Chief is right this is a one man band and it's JR or bust.

      • It would literally kill you if JR actually delivered Parra a premiership wouldnt it?

Before BA was sacked there wasn't a bad word from you about any of this - it all started when your beloved BA was under pressure and looking like losing his job. At that stage it was all good in the hood and then you went full retard.

        • He won't not without help.

You can quote me on that too.

No coach in the whole nrl singular delivers a premiership by themselves it's not happening.

This is the whole idea widen your gaze strong clubs win premiership's.Thats like saying Cleary did it all by himself at Riff.

Been saying the same shite for years until Parra get it right off the field there just making up the numbers.

"Yep I think the big thing is whether the club want to rush him. I think them pursuing Sandon Smith is perhaps a sign they don't want to rush him. But who knows what happens over time"
