Eels hand further fine to Dylan Brown

NRL 2023: Parramatta Eels hand Dylan Brown further $20k fine after pleading guilty to sexual touching charges

Eels star Dylan Brown has accepted his NRL ban after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual touching, but has been whacked with an extra punishment from Parramatta.

This masthead understands that Brown will be fined at least $20,000 by the Eels, having pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual touching in a Sydney court last week.

Brown had already been handed a long ban and a $40,000 fine – half of which was suspended – by the NRL after being charged by police following a boozy night out in Sydney’s eastern suburbs last month.

The Eels No.6 is due to return to the field in the run up to the finals but in the short term will be expected to undergo education as part of his rehabilitation.

Brown had five business days to respond to the NRL sanctions and it is understood the deadline passed on Monday afternoon, with the Kiwi international accepting the penalties from head office.

Brown is due to make his comeback for the Eels in their round 23 game against St George Illawarra, having already served three games on the sidelines when the NRL handed down their sanctions.

        • Some women may simply tell someone to piss off and that is the end of it.For some it could be a very big deal.If you have previous sexual assault incidents particularly as a child it undoubtedly would be traumatic.

          • Well you don't go to a fcuking night club at midnight and dance with a drunk if you have some hidden trauma from a previous assault....she has to have some culpability in the process.

You amaze me Tad, this didn't happen in a church and they were not in a circle singing com be yah!

            • It wasn't a night club, it was a pub. And she should be able to dance at a pub without being groped by a football player with too high an opinion of himself. I can't believe you're saying that there is culpability by the young lady involved. Do you even understand some of the terminology that you use?

              • 👍

            • Yin and Yang Poppa. If we agreed with everybody we wouldn't have anything to talk about

        • True HKF no one has the right to grab a woman's breast ..... it's not rape but it's not ok

I think girls these days just know they don't have to cop it - back when I was in the pubs w the footballers it just wasn't the case and a lot of girls wouldn't stand up for themselves .
it's diff times and I'm glad for all the younger girls out there ....

          • Not to mention back in your day we all know that women shoud've been at home anyways , so it was more accepted that if they stepped into the man's domain they deserved a bit of a feel up as they were actually out asking for it . I bet this bird was parading her ankles around in front of Dyldo too. Hussy.

            • Oh I know wiz I was taking my life in my hands every time I stepped out in my party pants 🙄
