  • Lol. I'm calling absolute BS! He and his manager were always going to sign with the Dogs. Just trying to squeeze more cash. Do they really want us to believe he hadn't been talking to Vella and his family before the weekend? Don't piss on us and tell us it's raining.

  • Who cares about Galvin he's not an Eel.

Just hope he has a blinder when we play him so he knows what he misses.

  • This is all spin and shit no doubt put out by Moses his manager. Other commentators have said after a previous game the opposition knew he was going to C' bury. Seriously he and I Moses can all quietly feck off. Its done and we dont need him. He can board with his ex teacher for I care and wash his car....we move on. C'bury still will not succeed for a while yet

  • One teams playing Chess the other missing out was playing Chequers.

Quite easy to tell which team is the mentioned.

Dont worry though nothing to see here there was a preview of this when the team playing Chequers chased Wayne Bennett. While South's were on landing him for probably nie on 12 months the Chequers crew gave it a whole 6 weeks 😂 6 weeks then came on fox sports embarrassing themselves telling the whole world how inept they were.Good old Sean and Jim with there Parra scarfs on.

    • Interesting analogy Coryn but Bennett was never coming to Parra. Its hard to make your type of judgement because it is not a talent id type decision in his case.

Just to throw something into the chess game, its a game that takes patience and time and can't be learnt overnight. Our blokes were never at the level to identify that. I would also argue that I am glad we didn't get Bennett (sugar pill).

You are right our mob are chequer players and arguably not good at that at this point in time. BUT the analogy while cute doesn't change anything, unless there are immediate alternatives. Whilst I can see these alternatives, I am not sure I am right or wrong, all I can do is cast opinions and support where I can.

We are learning, not fast enough apparently, but as a long term fan with understanding, other than do it myself I am happy in our general position......this can change very quickly of course but no one will ever be totally happy.

Yes we can agree that the HOF position needs to be addressed, not for the reasons we can argue because if this site images the general views of MON's position, guilty or innocent his credability is still shot.

It seems that he gets blamed for many things that if the truth be told he had no final role in. I can only assume that is recognised in some manner by the fact he still has a job. I have always said the title does not fit the role he undertakes.

He is a maintence manager inside a building whilst others are doing the decorations and furnishings.

      • I mention MoN alot and I agree it's not all on him but I'm all for upgrading any position we can in the front office if better is available or we see an alternative.I just feel who we have there now have a very comfortable position and unlike our players who are upgradable it feels like we aren't in the game when it comes to getting better at the top of the tree.

I red a great book about 49ers coach Bill Walsh and how he went about building that franchise into something when they were nothing. The Score takes care of itself it's called it's a fantastic read and gives fantastic insight into all soughts of issues when it comes to building a franchise that promised a lot but generally under achieved.

    • Coryn, you didn't say it here but on another post that Ryles was our 3rd choice. Bennett obviously 1st, who was our 2nd?

Just before they hired Ryles they apparently made this monster offer which was rejected. They wanted the best credit to them but couldn't close.

        • And that's taking into consideration that both Holbrook and Maguire ruled themselves out before we could even make a play at them if we wanted to..  so ultimately 4 coaches told us they didn't want the job .

1 of them told us he wanted to focus on his NSW coaching gig and then a few months later took up an NRL job , the other simply said he wasn't interested and was happy to stay as an assistant coach .

it's not a great look , and for us to broadcast the embarrassing approach to Bennett makes you scratch your head and wonder what they thought they'd achieve by telling everyone .  Desperate to impress the fans by showing they had big ambitions?  Fuck Bennett had no job plans for  12 months and then  we decide to approach him whilst he and Souths were at the felatio stage of their relationship 😂😂

Good on them making a big play at Bellamy , maybe if they hadn't been fumbling around he just may have taken it , you just never know .  I wonder if a Brisbane or a Souths offered him that kind of coin whether it'd be a different story.
