Parramatta's SG Ball and Harold Matthews junior sides go into this week's elimination finals, having both finished second after impressive seasons.
However, both face danger games this week. In Harold Matthews, the Eels face the Bulldogs who have been improvers over the course of the year. Critically, they must also do without their classy five-eighth Zach Clay who is missing through injury.
Meanwhile, at SG Ball level the Eels play the Roosters, the team that knocked them over in last year's Grand Final in this grade. Only a couple of faces from that side, remain this year, with most having gone on to join the NYC squad (despite the fact that some players like Jacob Gagan and Vai Toutai remain eligble for this competition). For that reason, the Eels were probably not expected to perform as well as they have this year, so this squad have really stepped up. However, the Roosters side is big and despite finishing seventh are probably the competition's dark horses.

It bodes well for the future knowing that we have some quality talent building for the future years of the Parramatta club.
More that it's good to see the continued development and growth of junior players that are continually coming through our Ball and Matthews sides.
If you're down at the Harold Matts game, watch out for no.11-Tepai Moeroa...the guy is a great hole runner and has tremendous strength for his size...
