I blogged a week or so that Parramatta would definitely free-up cap before the start of next season and the one I expected to head out, Lee Mossop, has now been confirmed as gone.
The two other players who look to have limited opportunities at the club are probably Mitchell Allgood and Justin Hunt.
Wondering what people's thoughts are on both players. Given we won't have any salary cap pressure do we keep both these players on the books (and indeed we may have to, if they don't find other opportunities) or do we keep pruning the books? I would have guessed that both would have been encouraged to look for other homes if Hayne hadn't of left - but does his departure change the equation?

Keep pruning imo, i dont really see these two as depth any more either, both are dead wood and should be let go of any time we get a chance, ive been calling for Allgood to be moved on for ages, hope he goes.
Lets try to keep some of our promising players from the Holden Cup side instead of signing the leftovers from other clubs
Otherwise we will lose them as we usually manage to do.
I like to keep allgood for one more year and let go hunt.
Miatch, no. That would be an interesting move with Corey to get his salary out the road so that if you want to let him go in 2016 you're not carrying it on the books. However, from everything I hear Norman's pretty well regarded by the coaching staff and lets say we do sign Foran or a player like him, I think they would be pretty happy to have Norman around as a utility player. Given his versatility, he's probably not a player you pay to go and play for another club.
Also, and I don't know the ins and outs of this, but I don't think you can just change an existing registered contract. I think you have to shift money about as part of a new contract - so if we were to re-sign a player like Hopoate or Sandow, then I think you can move your money about but it has to be part of a new contract.
Someone needs to fills those spots on the roster so it think Hayne leaving does change things a little. I certainly wouldn't let them go and pay part of their salary.
I think a realistic view on where we expect to finish season 2015 is needed when making a decision on the likes of Allgood and Hunt. If Parra were the sort of team where we're expecting a top 4 finish and threatening for a shot at the premiership, then you would probably hold on to them as they have first grade experience and if you had injuries in the Finals etc and wanted to bring in someone who isn't 'raw', then they would be valuable in that scenario.
But if we're being realistic, 2015 is shaping up as a bit of a slog and a change in culture and approach. If Allgood and Hunt aren't seen as being part of the long term plans in that culture, then they should be jettisoned. We likely gain more for the future by exposing some other guys in the top grade in 2015 if injuries occur if they are deemed longer term prospects than using higher priced reserves like Hunt and Allgood. That eing the case, I'm inclined to let them go. Shame though, I was hoping Allgood would go to a higher level. I think he would be great at the Storm if that's where he ends up.
Try to offload them - we have ample depth in those roles without them.
I agree, free up the cash and sign some quality players. Quality players win matches more than depth does
A.T.M while we have many inconsistent performers, pressure from below can push them up a level, but if you look at the top teams, most player's from those squads are self motivated, as are most elite sports persons. />
Algoood and many more alike, will not be in the club's future plans, unless they take a drastically reduced contact as I think Sefa Paulo did.
