We have talked about the joke of the salary cap but this year it has really gotton out of hand. The Rorters have so many players available that they now have 2 reserve grade teams. Norths and Roosters are both Rorters reserves. How the hell is this allowed to happen. It seems to me that this club has has got way too much power with the NRL. Sonny Bill's commentary last night was simply disgraceful. All the glotting about the win despite having 5 million dollars worth of players not playing (inc Tedesco). The 5 million is said with a bs cough? If last nights game was reffed evenly I will eat my hat.

  • sorry should be some reason

  • The fix is definitely in. When they lost in Round 1 the word went out inside the NRL that things must change. A Broncos vs Roosters GF played at the MCG would be a V'Landys wet dream. Watch this space.

  • They haven't won it for 3 years, That's not good enough for Nick, so he gets on the phone to Albo and PVL demanding action. Nick was furious last year when two western sydney teams made the GF and the eastern suburbs wasn't represented on the day.

  • It's a piss take on nrl supporters if they think the roosters play fairly in the cap

  • Can you expect anything less ? Wherever there is big $$$$ there is always some form of corruption even if it's so secretly hidden. Anyone who denies this really needs to think again. There are currently numerous teams favoured by the NRL hierarchy and the Roosters are at the top of the list

    • X a billion

  • I listened to V'Landys being interviewed a few weeks ago when it was announce the NRL were considering expanding to 20 teams.  During the interview V'Landys stated that it was Uncle Nick that had raised it with him.  They are in bed together!

    • Well Politis is chairman of an NRL club, and a high profile one at that, and PVL is the Commission chairman. It is highly likely they will talk often, and they obviously share their views on expansion.
There is honestly nothing to see here.

      • lol, they virtually share a building. If you take a walk down around Entertainment Quarter during the week you'll see NRL employees and Roosters players and officials seated together sharing coffee and meals.  Now as much as we'd like to believe that it's all kosher , it's human nature that they will develop relationships stronger than say , a Dragons or Raiders  player who doesn't say gday to a referee each morning on his way into work or Politis who pays it forward their coffee or meal out of the goodness of his heart when he sees them in the queue to pay behind him.  They're literally mingling daily at the same eateries as both offices share the venue.

It's not Politis's space to be advising on expansions ,  Brett do you realise that Politis shares a holiday property with John Quayle that they both have holidayed at together since the 70s  . Nothing to see when he was the boss either  ?  He literally holidayed with the ARL boss .  You think he's above schmoozing this bloke ? Please, that's what he does.

    • Of course politis wants more teams, it weakens his opponents. With the dolphins being added this year, the storm, panthers and eels all lost multiple good players, not all directly to the dolphins but indirectly the new team created more player movement.  How many players did the roosters lose?, none, they gained players. The roosters never lose players they want to keep.
