    • one journo said he would take unders to leave GC. Not sure how true that is.

  • I have no doubt Ryles would be interested.

One thing about Fifita that often gets lost in the narrative is he's a quality defender.

Hes big and agile , exactly the type of player Ryles would be after.

This is another  player you could possibly do a deal around his partner to play for our womens side to ease cap space burden.

If he leaves the Titans which looks likely , Parra and the Dragons would be the most likely landing spot.

    • Sorry, dont agree as per my post above.

    • True mate He is a decent defender Though maybe that's the reason why you find him out the back with his hands on his hips in attack Seriously though He's built like a brick shithouse I couldn't imagine myself running at him when he's fired up

      • The trouble with the Titans is, they don't know how to use him. You look at a lot of his line breaks, or tries, they are more often than not his own making. Very rarely you see a Kikau, or Olakatau type try, where they are from set moves to put them in a position to use their size, speed and strength to score. The Titans have never had the quality in the halves to use him properly. Plus playing left or right side makes a big difference to quite a lot of players, you only have to go back to last year with Brown playing halfback on the right, when his natural position is on the left, same with Galvin, he has had to move to the right to accommodate Luau and it has affected his natural game, and that is part of the reason he wants out.if Ryles uses him right, it is a no brainer to get him.

    • Dolphins might be in that conversation also, Bup.

They'd have the cap space, you'd think? Geographically would work best for Fifita as it's hard to see how Broncs / Cowboys could accommodate him.

I could see the appeal also with the space & opportunities Katoa creates for his edges, he looks destined to be the next elite half in the game - absolute gun.

I'd love to see Fifita at the Eels, but wherever he goes could create an opportunity for Parra to jump at whoever he replaces in the starting line up.

  • He's got all the ability but as we see with some of these players, let's see if they are still putting in next season for example May as some have mentioned. NRL is a tough game and discipline is key.
Parra have given such players a go over the years and at times it works for a season but others it ends in tears.

  • I'm not sure of any other clubs that would be as desperate as us for a destructive edge runner.
He would have a point to prove but I still think he is considerably unfit and lazy in defence.

Maybe working with a more superior halves pairing might switch something on with him.

Titans would know we would be thirsty for him so they may try and not chip in as much as we would like.
Plus the Titans may offload Hasler due to his poor record which may keep Fifita at the club.

  • Everyone saying no would flop their dicks out and start stroking the moment he signed.

To me it's a no brainer. If he's available and is keen to play under Ryles and with Moses, it's a massive yes from me. We need a wrecking ball that can run hard and break defenses. We haven't had that since Fui.

"Mate it's absolutely cheating.  It's giving his team and unfair advantage as to make the ball difficult to grip giving the defence a huge advantage. It slows the passing game and also there a good chance the opposition knock on "
