He looks to be clearing the decks and going strictly with either youth or quality, kind of like the SuperCoach strategy of either Guns or Rookies. I like Simmo and get your point about heart, and I agree. But it looks like Ryles wants young talent with high ceilings without a injury history list, or class players. Simmo was becoming a serious injury risk and was never going to be a rep player. He's also not quite a gun center or a gun winger, he's a reliable back up.
So I can see Ryle's strategy here, and it deserves a chance.
"I would love khan piera from the titans and put lomax back in the centres. In saying that I am very interested in seeing how much Russell keeps slowly improving. He reminds of a Joel reddy"
"I though that too but also that could have been done prior to Ryles announcement. How many times we seen a signing announcement months after reported?"

I'm very disappointed! He's been one of our best players last few seasons and has speed to burn!
Why :(
I'm beginning to question some of these Ryles moves.
Simmonson plays with heart - all sides need this type of player. Letting him go makes zero sense to me.
Oh well Ryles is building the proverbial rod for his own back - hope this all works out but I'm beginning to doubt it. Too many moves far to quickly
Your only questioning them as no replacement signings have been announced to justify the release
Nor will they, is my belief....

I don't think this is a Ryles choice. He gave Bailey 3 years in November despite just coming back from an ACL. It's a Bailey decision.

I don't think this is because he's not playing. he's just come back from Injury and has been playing all the time when fit this year.
Bailey wants to move. Either been offered better money elsewhere or wants back to NZ
He was one of the better players. Something's afoot
We just signed him as well after his ACL injury, we don't have to give him a release he still has got 2 years left
