Adrian Proszenko: Eels looking at Daniel Anderson

On Continuous call team podcast, Proszenko mentioned we are on the look out for a new head of recruitment and Anderson's name is popping up. Mike Rush has a connection with Anderson, he worked with him while at St. Helens.

Whatever the case it seems Rogers is gone. Added to that is it could be that MON is not hiring Rogers' replacement. Usually the GM hires the HOR. He could still be involved but seems Rush, if he is to be CEO, is pulling the strings. Which is what many have asked for our CEO to do, Rush has connections and it calling on them.

      • I doubt that in itself, Saratinos worked it out and acted on it......guestimate on my part.

        • I tried to avoid commenting on any of your posts due to how much i dispise you, but this is too good to not provide a rebuttal.

Look at the actual timeline and actions, not the corporate PR release:

Firstly the timing. He announced his exit with 5 weeks left in the season with zero replacement lined up. Voluntary CEO exits have multi-month succession plans; sudden gaps mean the board pulled the trigger.

Secondly, he literally went on radio and said he wants to be an NRL CEO again. He didn't want to leave club administration; he was moved on.

Lastly,  the Head of Recruitment seems like he is gone and they're hiring externally as well the CEO itself. When a board loves the existing setup, wouldn't they try to promote from within? Or somewhat keep most pieces in place? When they want a complete reset of a failing footy department, they clear the desk.

Now none of us know what really happened. But the examples you have provided have done nothing to convince those on the other side he was not tapped on the shoulder. For someone who has a go at me for being a mind reader you sure know what happens behind the scenes a lot.

          • That's  a thousand percent correct LB. Any aspiring CEO would be out of his mind to leave a club at its lowest ebb, especially when it seems now Ryles is in a position where he finally has cap space to improve the roster.  It would be extremely foolish for Sarantinos to leave his post now.

And his post sacking radio interview was a last gasp push by him, to change the narrative where he said that  if it wasn't for him, the club would have most probably folded lol.    Haha.

            • Well you just put a huge lie on LB's post Chiefy..... you agreeing to anything hardly makes it right.

              • Childish response, spoken like one.....your context is wrong, had to look back to see what i was talking about ....did you see the words "guestimate on my part????

If you despise me so much, go somewhere else and peddle your hatred .....what a disappointment you have become.

The resignation of Parramatta Eels Chief Executive Officer Jim Sarantinos was officially announced on Thursday, August 13, 2026. The club released a statement confirming that he would step down from his role at the conclusion of the 2026 NRL season after a decade of service.

Regarding the comment about "wanting to be a CEO again" or "finding your way back to where you wanted to be," yes, it is entirely out of context and a result of a technical mix-up online. ]

Why it was out of context:
                • The Podcast Overlap: Sarantinos did an interview on the podcast "What I Learned in Business (That Didn't Kill Me!)". On digital platforms and RSS feeds, the description for his episode was accidentally glued together with the description of a completely different guest.]
                • The Actual Quote's Owner: The blended text described a guest with a "40-year career in retail" who sold a business in 2024 and returned to a teenage ambition in music, concluding with a line about "finding your way back to where you wanted to be in the first place.
                • Sarantinos's Real Context: Sarantinos has been the active CEO of the Parramatta Eels since 2020, so he had no reason to state he "wanted to be a CEO again." His actual interview focused on his corporate restructuring background at Ferrier Hodgson and guiding the Eels through governance and salary cap crises starting in 2016.
The rumor or report of him making that specific comment on a broadcast simply stemmed from an automated podcast directory error that mashed two separate interviews into one description.
                • Childish i see, well then what do you call someone who reacts by swearing and abusing someone when they are called out then? Or someone who uses pictures to say you are fishing for a response when you take the bait every time.

There are a lot here i have have run ins with, there will be many more. Things is, every single one of them, if they either ask me a question or reply to a topic i wrote or commented something i agree with i can be civil and comment like nothing happened. With you though? Ever since you brought up what my grandfather would think of how i was apparently treating you, inferring that he would be disappointed in me for doing so, that is where i draw the line with you as you are a lowlife, as low as it goes. I have and will have no respect for you here. To say i am disappointing, well if you say i am, then i am doing something right not being anything like you are.

Also, the podcast link. Again AI has failed you. That podcast wsa in January this year. His interview on SEN, with Brandy and Jimmy Smith from August 17th, about 4:10 in, look it up if you like it is very easy to find, he says he would like to stay in the game and if the right job comes up he wouldn't say no. So AI, which can be a wonderful tool, is a tool i use from time to time for certain things. But relying on it so heavily can make you look foolish, but you do that without AI anyway.

https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/kick-off-with-brandy-and-jimm... There is the link for you bright spark. No Guesstimate here mate, just facts proving yourself wrong once again.

Not very wise of you to keep using it despite proof it can be wrong quite a bit, but also you say you can learn, well again why not learn from the first time you had AI proven to be wrong for you. Now i will wait for your childish reply to prove my point.

                  Enjoy.

                  • " he says he would like to stay in the game and if the right job comes up he wouldn't say no"

That podcast you refer to is in context as much as that quote is, i.e. the context is nothing like the way both you and Chiefy (what a great bedfellow you picked there) represented it.

The other quotation was direct from the Chairman not AI and it maybe "glossy" but there is enough there to suggest it was Saratinos's choice. The logic of that opinion is now showing up, be buggered if I am going to let low life analysts and dick heads destroy his attempts to do the best he could in circumstances, that hardly anyone on here could possibly handle.

You see the context of every argument is always subjective and it is human nature for it to be so.

Another trait you show in your own immaturity is the repetitive issues, whether it was Ryles or AI or your grandfather, the context was never derogative but you hopped on your high horse.....as I said to that "dillbrain" Y2 yesterday, I do not suffer fools gladly, especially one's here that have no hesitation in making repetitative derogatively remarks about people such as Saratinos, Rogers (who I don't know) and anyone that would give an iota to the intelligence of people like Daz for example, even people like Pou yesterday copped it for his intelligent no nonsense replies. ........Those people regardless of their opinions are well enough known and educated in the game to at least have some respect given.....now I don't accuse you LB of that, most of your commentary is considered but of course when anyone disagrees with you, you show what I critique you for.

Harden up son, you will be need to overtime.

PS Sling shit at me as much as you like, you have every right to, but I do manage to take it and have done for a long time.....its social media, not fcuking sheep stations.

                    .

                • It makes sense you like ChatGPT so much—it's programmed to never disagree with you, just like you want everyone else to be..

                  • Well I asked Chat GPT to assess it .  My question was simple,  " based on the media release and its format do you think it sounds like its possible he was pushed "  obviously like others in the corporate world who've seen a million of them, Chat thinks it's a bit fishy. Voluntary or planned ones alway have more meat.

"My honest assessment is yes, I think there is a reasonable possibility Jim Sarantinos was asked to resign, or that the board made it clear a change of leadership was wanted. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's highly likely based on the public evidence alone, but I wouldn't automatically accept the official explanation as the complete story either.
The most revealing part is the distinction between a CEO choosing to leave and a CEO agreeing to leave after discussions with the board. Both can produce exactly the same media release."

                    • Good work Wiz, you bring balance to the discussion, so many on here think it was cut and dried, we will probably never know and only the board(maybe) and Beach and the man himself would know.

I could imagine that Saratinos and Beach would have had the discussion in various ways, the illogic of the matter to me is, if their was criticism it would have logically been MON and who knows with Rogers (not a player in this game). i.e if Saratinos wanted to protect his arse, he would have sacrificed MON, but logically he can now leave that to the incoming.

I think there is a high chance they worked out together what needed to be done.

The Chiefy response is that he was sacked for his lack of performance, that is rubbish!
