I'm not a huge fan of Galvin primarily because I think he has big ego and because who his manager is , having your halves both managed by Isaac Moses is a recipe for future disaster and we simply don't have the management who could handle Isaac if he decided to pull one of his tricks .
The other thing is that it is unlikely that Galvin will be available until 2027 . Longi has all the skills and ability to be a outstanding 6 which then leaves a vacancy at fullback , I would do whatever it takes to get Selwyn Cobbo as it's a safer bet paying big dollars for Cobbo than it is for Galvin .

Frankie, I like your thinking here but I'm quite comfortable with Galvin playing alongside Moses. With no knowledge of what will happen I think we will get him for next year.
Iongi was brought to the club to play Fullback. He was identified by Ryles as soon as he was hired as a player he wanted. He is learning to play FG, why mess that up by training him in a brand new position where he needs to defend more? He played over 60 games in NSW Cup, not one of them was at 6. Only time from memory he played 6 was for Tonga U18's.
I think he could do it if trained earlier on but right now he is progressing very well at Fullback i wouldn't mess with that. Papali'i is a very good talent and trying to get him in somewhere makes sense, he would be better suited to Fullback in NRL than 6 but of course Iongi is there. Papali'i playing some 6 in Cup shows the club would be more inclined to play him at 6 before Iongi.
I am not going to say it is a bad idea as i think Iongi could be a very good 6, but at this stage his development at Fullback is even more important as is him getting used to week in week out NRL football. I reckon keep it simple for him in a position he can play and play well. I would, even though his size concerns me, push towards Papali'i at 6 if anything.
Not sold on cobbo at fullback, the bigger bodied fullback is 5-10 years ago. The smaller fullbacks in the faster flowing game is the way to go so I wouldn't be a fan of this move.
Someone like Dylan Edwards a metre eater is what we need
We have that with Iongi who is only going to get bigger and stronger. He is currently averaging 170 metres per game with two games over 200 metres. Not sure what else you are looking for?
A metre eater, 170 metres is shit! Carty makes that off the bench.. The good fullbacks push 280-300.
Must be no good fullbacks in the game than since no player averages that this year.
EA, if Bob Merkin's brain's were made of sperm, he would not have enough to make a flea pregnant.
Really? As Jye Gray has the best average being 198 metres. Iongi ranks 25th for average in the NRL with a few of those 25 playing less than 2 games so the average can be way higher.
Bob you will be someone who we would sign Cam Smith in his prime and have an issue with it. Or have a player score 25 tries in a season but say Johnston scored 30 so therefore it is rubbish in comparison.
You do realise Iongi is only 8 games into his career right? Someone like Tedesco didn't average more than 170 metres in a season until his first year at Sydney City and that was 100 games into his career. Iongi, at this stage, is up to 170 metres in an average team.
As for Cartwright, he has only averaged 100+ meters in 11 NRL seasons. Averaging 54 metres in Cup right now when he should dominate with his experience.
So either you have no idea or just have very high standards or both.
What are you still doing here Bob, aren't you supposed to be looking for that Smith chick at the netball.
