I'm absolutely amazed Ricky Stuart didn't make more of an issue at the Press conference regarding the farce that was the Justin Hodges try tonight.
On replay Wally Lewis himself suggested it wasn't a try, and at 1/2 time they showed Meninga & Hagan's live reaction (replay as it happened) which was priceless, and put into perspective what a hypocrite Meninga is, when he stated in the Qld presser the try carried no doubt.
Absolute f@#$%ing joke of a decision ...

Couldnt agree more, that was another absolute shocker by the vid ref. Qld won the series on the back of 2 of the most shocking calls in origin history. It still amazes me the vid ref, who gets to look at the incident over and over, can get it so blatently wrong. They should put a copy of the rule book right next to the monitor they view the replays on. For me it ruined a great game.
Carise sang her apparent hit song live.
Darren sang the national anthem.
Sarah the smoking red was in the players sheds hitting high notes.
That leaves the blind girl up in the video refs box.
Very good HH ;-)
LOL maybe thats the problem, they are f@ck1ng blind.
My sister went on a blind date with him (Stevie Wonder) in the ‘70s.
I knew we were in trouble when this one was let go by Archer and his mates.
What was hilarious was as Channel 9 replayed Tate's cat attack over and over - using the exact same vision the video ref sees - NSW were penalised by Ben Cummins who said to Paul Gallen words the effect of 'penalty against you for punching' based on review by the video ref. When Gallen asked Cummins about Tate's punch on Bird Cummins said he didn't see it.
So that means the video ref must not have told Cummins about Tate's punch.
Now, it's Origin and I don't think even the players are too concerned about little cheap shots and rabbit killers from time to time but let us not forget that in Game 1, Jennings did a similar thing and got binned, drastically altering the complexion of the match which Qld came back to win. That was an incorrect decision at the time but to not penalise Tate last night was equally incorrect and an example of complete inconsistency.
I've said this for a while and I very much believe it to be true - Qld are being rewarded by the administration for their strong patronage of rugby league and the money that QLDRL spends on player development. That is why the Qld Origin side has been allowed to flout the eligibility criteria for years and is the constant beneficiary of dubious decisions in contests that are so tight that an errant penalty can decide a team's fate.
The Commission and previously the NRL took the view that Origin was always going to big in NSW so it wouldn't matter if Qld went on a big winning streak. This was evidenced after NSW won it's third straight series in 2005 cries were heard from north of the border that Origin football was dead! Now, of course, it's "bigger than ever"!
The Eels and Panthers get similarly shafted by the administration every year whom erroneously believe that the west of Sydney is untouchable rugby league heartland and so allow the Broncos, via the Thoroughbreds, to murderously distort the salary cap in maintaining the pride of Qld junior talent, and by extension be competitors for the premiership every year.
Seriously, this s*** is getting boring!
