  • I'm in the players corner here. They agreed to a 75% pay cut until the game could restart, and I agree it was necessary, but if they are going to start playing again, and presumably getting broadcast income flowing again, then the players want to know what their pay arrangements are going to be, and fair enough.

The 75% cut was for the duration of when the game wasn't operating, once it starts operating and the game gets some cash flow the players deserve to be paid accordingly. The NRL has thus far not addressed this concern, however I'm sure they will. The players desperatley want to start playing again, but they don't want to be taken for granted, and fair enough.

The other issue is around the Warriors. They have to be in quarantine for 14 days after they arrive before they can start training. The Warriors players are understandably concerned that this hasn't been nailed down yet, and they aren't prepared to commit to traveling across the ditch and then being in quarantine without a deal in place. Again, fair enough I say.

  • There is an agreement already in place if the competion resumes, the players get 29.5 pc of any revenue from then on, it is not yet known how much that will be. The players and that wanna be Newton continue to throw up road blocks , cance the comp for gods sake and let these self entilted shits cry about that, I had hopes the comp wopuld resume on rhe 28th, not any more.

  • Thats fine if they dont - no-one wins. Seriously both fox and ch 9 could be stubborn too in light of the players behaviours this week. No-one wins. AFL will be back soon as will some o/seas soccer....there will be sport to watch somewhere. The marbles has even taken off.....

    • Well the Belorussian Premier League has been playing this whole time. It's the only professional sport that has continued operating uninterrupted.

      • Yes Brett and its good stuff. I congratule those Belorussians, a tough race.

  • i agee with the playes but the reality is that they will play. They are fully paid up untilk the end of May whic means they are obligated to turn up and train, after that they wont get paid a cent. All of the players i have spoken to are so worried abou their next paycheck, despite some of these players being marquee players that they would do anything to get back and play.

All of the club officials i have spoken to are also confident of the game restarting. Storm in a teacup

  • As long as our guys want to turn up and train i dont give a crap what the others do

"Jersey Flegg is getting spanked. I got no idea what he sees in some of these older players. The 1-7 are genuinely rubbish. The 13 is terrible. How Howlett, Sorovi and Rokusuka cannot get game time over these current outside backs blow my mind. The…"

"Acl. So yeah when we count our injured players we forget him. As usual when he starts finding form he gets unlucky with injuries. He started the year of slowly and found form the game before he got injuries "

"The problem for Kelma is we have been saying how good he could be for how many seasons now? Kind of loosing patience with him. 1 year deal is all I would offer and as some have said, explore him as a middle too."
