    • I challenge you to watch it Daz, I dare you

      • "Self-righteousness is a terrible thing in a believer".
        See, challenge accepted, Brett.
Here is my challenge, in return. When will all the religious bigots hear that message and stop denigrating others?

        • Who is denigrating who ?

          • Brett, only religious bigots don't know the answer to that question.

            • I'm assuming you are referring to me, I haven't denigrated anyone, certainly not based on whatever belief system they choose to believe in, but if you think so, then give me an example.

  • Just go and put your faith in the lord to keep you safe. Who needs Science, Medicine and Critical thought when you have power of the lord!

    • Science & Medicine are wonderful gifts from God, but my ultimate faith is in Him. And yes I have faith that He will, but even if He doesn't, I'll still stand in Him.

      • Serious question, in the ideological realm of Christian belief, where does this pandemic fit in? Sent by Lucifer? A punishment for our sins? All part of gods plan?

        • If it is in fact a serious question, the answer is that we live in a world corrupted by the sin of humanity. The Bible is clear that the wages of sin is death. The reason the world is in the collective chaos that it is in currently is through our collective disobedience to Him.

It's not God's will that that it is the case, just the opposite, but He's not going to force us to live in obedience to Him.

God doesn't see the world in terms of good vs bad or right vs wrong the way mankind does, he sees it through the prism of life & death. If we live in obedience to Him, it brings us life, if we don't, it brings us death, and by death I mean it in the holistic sense, not just the narrow idea of physical death. It means spiritual death, which ultimately leads to physical death.

Be assured God is not some cosmic wet blanket trying to stop us enjoying life or having fun, but he has put in place boundaries for us to live within, in the same way that as a father I do the same thing with my kids. I don't do it because I'm mean, but because I love them and I want the best for them. Sometimes they disobey me, and when that happens I have to discipline them.

God is no different, except that His Love is pure.

"What if the NRL set up a system where players who are locally developed and make it to 1st grade, those players are exempt from the cap? That would force clubs to develop more from within rather than poach from other clubs. Just a thought."
