Braith Anasta said on Nrl360 that Zack lomax may have played his last game for Parramatta, and is very close to signing a deal with R360.
Braith said he heard a rumour from someone close to R360 and its serious.
Peter Vlandys said on the same show that anyone who has a.nrl contract and signs with R360 there will be major consequences.

No civil case, only real big issue where a player has walked out was SBW. His French club had to pay up to $750k transfer fee.
Well yeah you are right he can just go technically as even if Parra want to take him to court the league would just pay out his deal or something like that and move on.
Thats where it can get awkward for a return. If a deal is made for his release or compensation being given of course he can go wherever he likes in his return. If he hasn't been officially released by Parra then it is either return to Parra or the new club compensates us.
I guess overall there is no point of chasing up the breach if he leaves as in someway we can use it to our advantage more by holding his rights and either have him back or use him to get a player in return in future so he can play elsewhere in NRL.
It wouldn't surprise me if there is a deal where if we agree to him going he cannot come back anywhere else. But you are right too in that it would mean nothing as he cannot still find a way to another team.
V'Landys talks a big game, admirabley, that if you leave for this you are not welcomed back which of course you cannot ban players for simply leaving a code, even in the case of breach of contract as more likely as I said the league would just pay a fee to get him out. But V'Landys can try that but a club won't be able to help themselves and sign Lomax or Pap or Murray or whoever comes back, it wouldn't surprise be up to the club who has their rights to do what they want. 9/10 it is better to just make the best you can of situation instead of them kicking stones.
I wonder if V'Landys will ramp up the exemption to get Union players to league with this happening?

You can't really hold it against the bloke considering we are paying him pretty much peanuts considering, and we offered a plodder like Galvin a better deal . We have shitloads of cash you'd think, maybe he's just being smart and seeking an upgrade.
