Just wondering what other Eels fans are thinking about Mitchell Moses possibly being selected by Coach Daley for Origin 2. I personally don't think he should be selected because of his injuries and also his form this year hasn't been the greatest.
I think it's more important he gets himself 100% fit and spends more time on the field for Parra the Origin. It seems everytime he plays in Origin he either picks up some injury or aggravates current injuries that sidelines him for Parra matches.
What do others on here think?

Agreed with LB and Captain. Ideally the team doesn't fall are when our best player is selected for rep games, and ideally not is he injured.
I am reminded of every footy head on the footy talk shows who talk about players that govt their team-mates confidence. I am sure that process is enabled by those players being rep players and having that stature and confidence. Wanting to drag Moses out of that rep environment might simply be "own goal thinking", where we take the only player at the club who has that stature and confidence and we demand he think smaller
100%. Putting my Parra hat on I don't want him picked. Putting my NSW hat on it's an easy pick for me. If he's fit, he's the man for the job
I mean hopefully he comes back against Souths, with the week off mind you, and is more confident.
2026 finals footy is fast becoming a dream. Chances of playing finals appears to be very slim. Why keep one of the best halves in the Country from playing Origin. Mitch wants to play Origin, he is more then capable of being selected. Why would we want to stop him from playing against the best.
I suspect at times that Mitch may be let down by our club, and those that are playing around him may not be up to first grade standards. He deserves better, he deserves to be leading teams to finals footy, so it seems short sighted to stop in any way him playing with the best, when Origin comes around. Isn't Origin standard players the players we want to see more of at the club.
I'd go strange.
Moses at this point in his career should make rep footy his priority its the only chance of winning anything he has a few more years with us and his premiership window is definitely shut.
Pure speculation with no supportive evidence whatsoever:
I wonder if there are some SOO appearance clauses in his contract.
Just switched over Dolpins v Cowboys think i head comintators say Dolphins half Katoa looks like will be chosen instead of moses in soo2 due Moses injury uncertainty. Who knows will have to wait and see
I'm torn about this one.
We all know what a fit Moses can do and how dangerous he is, and the Blues desperately need his boot. There's nothing more I would love to see than Moses wrap up an Origin series in Game 2 and cement his Origin legend.
But it's clear to us who've watched him all year that he's not 100% healthy and that presents a significant risk to both the Blues, and the Eels.
If he blows his hammy it no doubt ruins us for the year, so is it worth risking when Ethan Strange was just about the best player the Blues had in Origin 1?
Daley should stick with Strange for Game2 and only bring in Moses if they need him for Game 3.
Daley though couldn't care less for Parramatta or any clubs. He cares about winning the series and to him Moses is the best chance of winning the series. For him if he gets hurt playing Origin, just put Strange on and move on. Only one more game anyway. Not like it would be for us with big scheme of a season.
Having a player out there with a hammy about to snap is a huge risk to Daley's chance of winning Game 2. If it blows mid game he wastes one of his interchanges to bring in Ethan Strange. Plus, you can't have a 5/8 who's running lame in probably the toughest match in NRL. I wouldn't risk the match on him.
