Why doubt Ryles ?

Lot of fans are upset with the one year Pezet deal, and I understand that. But let's look at the calls Ryles has made since joining the club.

Gutho and RCG getting moved on immediately got some backlash as well, big call but Ryles was correct. Lot of people didn't like this at the time.

Brought in his own group of players that fit the system he wants to play, might not be big names but they fit the style. Jack Williams Dylan Walker types.

Sean Russell the most hated eel on the roster. Ryles has given him the confidence to be a starter. He's taken that and run with it.

Give this loan with Pezet thing a chance and let's see what else happens around that before throwing all the toys out of the cot.

  • Between Ryles , O'Neill , Sarantonis and the board they have have proven they can't attract players unless they are players no other club wants .  Ryles you can cut some slack as he is still a rookie , but the rest have had many years to make Parramatta a attractive destination and all they have shown is that they are utterly useless , Parramatta is no more attractive than a group 6 side .

    • To atttract players we have to win games, no one wants to go to a wooden spoon team. We need to win more games to draw interest. Big names don't just go to clubs unless it's for 1.5 million and a holiday

    • Sad but true Frankie for us it feels like development or bust.Listening to Matt Cameron on James Grahams podcast makes me feel sick. You can see a guy whose ahead of the curve on most fronts.

Hes even got Joey Grima there development guy up in PNG recruiting and working with grass roots rugby league up there.

They don't  even have to be successful it's the fact there leaving no stone unturned that tells me there miles ahead of us.

  • What's the point of a 1 year deal?? Doesn't not make sense. Need players that are committed and a one year deal knowing you're going elsewhere isn't commitment in my opinion. Better off just sticking with Joash Papali

    • It just makes us a better squad. Joash will still get opportunities but let's maximise 2026.

    • cooper cronk did well at the roosters

      • Pezet is no Cooper Cronk

        • we dont know that YET

  • Eli, yes.

I’ll admit, I was against this loan deal, initially. But the bottom line is that Ryles knows Pezet and what we need better than any of us sideline-quarter-backs. He’s got the full support of the club & the club his. That's what I care about the most. Ryles has shown plenty of positive signs in his first year, so I'm backing him.

Even some journos, whose livelihoods usually depend on negative, shock-jock click-bait, are being more level-headed than most of our own fan base right now. Meanwhile, we're working ourselves into a frenzy for free.

It’s like Groundhog Day on a broken record player. Every cycle, the same outrage, the same poo-throwing. If insanity really is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result, we don’t need to look too far for the warning signs.

Yes, politically and optically it looks like a fan-relations disaster. It's bold. But unlike most of us, even journos get why the club is doing this. Strategically, it makes sense, just quietly.

    • Just like any fan base we all look for any negatives in any transaction. If Pezet had been signed long term and we lose 2-3 juniors it would also lead to negative reactions. If pezet was a horrible fit next to Moses and he's stuck here for 4 years that would also be bad. Always two sides to any equation

"Fair question, but TPJ was a very experienced impact forward, the Panthers brought him in as they had injuries at the position. TPJ's job was to run through brick walls in a very established team, with an elite spine & set up.

"Haha don't like this one, LB.
Doesn't set a precedent that aligns with all that was built last season.
