With another season in the books and another year we fail to life the premiership trophy, I know we won't be winning it in the 2-3 years but is there anything to look forward to that can gives us some hope? Young kids coming through promising through any good?
Shame 09 lost to cheats and 22 ran in to a once in a generation team who were at their peak.

The Eels have struggled to build momentum showing yearly improvement. They have struggled to build a squad that comes close to a premiership and then improve small parts of the squad. The current roster is much closer to be considered no chance of winning the premiership than it is to be considered a chance. With the NRL aiming for a 20 team competition within the next 4 or 5 years, winning the premiership will only become more difficult. The Eels currently are not even close to being in a premiership window, so predicting when the Eels next win a premiership is nothing more than a guess. It's not something I can see in the near future.
Slippery who knows honestly. In sport a team can click and win everything out of nowhere. Look at Penrith in 2002, they were rubbish. 2003 minor premiership and premiers. Wests Tigers rubbish in 04', win comp following year. Not saying that is us, but just never know.
20 teams can make it harder, but only harder if those teams are great from the start. Perth i feel wont be. PNG the jury is out only due to the unknown of conditions, but they have a squad that can perhaps challenge the 8. So yes and no 20 teams can hurt everyone else's chances.
But you just never know if a team will do well or bad. Anything can happen.
Our spine next season looks great just our backs and middle forwards average. If Fox is punted it looks even worse. Any young gun coming through as an outside back that gives us an x factor
AI Wil kill us all in the next 2-10years anyway. So probz never see one
