With it looking very likely that Lachlan Galvin will not be joining us who will be our 6 next year?
Here some options
-Bailey Hayward looked good replacing Burton and pathway blocked to start in the halves.
- Ronald Volkman
- Lorenzo Tailatana
-Lachlan Cokknias
- Jonah Pezent

Coinakis has a shoulder injury right now. Not sure really about which one is preferred. I recon JR will just let them battle it out.
Thanks for the update, is Coinakis really good though? Or did you see more from Smith? I swear earlier this year you thought Coinakis was a bit overrated? I could be wrong.
Lorenzo is one of the most naturally gifted young players I have seen in many years. Light feet, great eyes up game awareness, explosive speed and can tackle. I reckon they may not go all in on 5/8 and spend elsewhere and give Lorenzo another year or two.
Yep he is the one. He should be given a chance in NSW Cup at the end of the year. Had a great first half this week in Jersey Flegg. He is so strong in contact as well in attack.
I hear Lorenzo hits hard idefence as well.
With Moses playing halfback, you really want your 5/8 to be someone who can assist as required, and not be the main playmaker. In that sense, I think you are right and we will look for the next half in the lower grades who can play NRL. I know we have a few good halves coming through, so opportunity is there for the right player. A player like Hawkins also plays a vital role in being Moses-lite when Moses is not there, and can also help to develop young halves in NSW Cup.
What now, Luai gets in Crichton 's ear bad mouthing Galvin, and Galvin is disliked even before he starts. Moses agitate for early release and Galvin is with us mid 2026 early 2027
I understand always trying to improve your team, but adding such an important position mid season to the top of the table team is a bit stupid. I would understand if it was an end of year signing but not now.
Unless the player was a proven winner at final or represent level changing the top of the table side does seem a bit dangerous and more likely to fail then improve the side.
I think stick to developing our own and poach a few guys here and there we have plenty coming through flegg and in reserve grade ATM I am not to upset about this we are on the right path
I'm all for giving opportunities to the youth we've already got, put some onus on the coaching staff to improve players (which Ryles is willing to do) rather than going to market every time we need a spot filled. At this point in time I'd rather we sit back and see who comes to us from the open market rather than actively pursuing anyone.
Bit like going to buy a new car when you're car break s down rather than trying to fix the one you have . Mindset of materialism in a disposable economy
