"Yeah I think fullback is a young mans game now. You need to have that explosive speed. Ryles knows this. A few years ago Gutho would have pushed that player over the sideline easily."

"Eels now sit in 15th position on ladder which is same as last year I think. "
"That's a pretty good point GM..... I jokingly said to my wife this morning that Parra are the new second favourites for the 26 premiership based on the relative performance assesments against the new comp favourites .....South Sydney. LOL"

My feeling of Joash is that he is lessor shadow of Iongi, both very similar and their fullback play reflects that. I think Iongi is the better player with the most potential to go to a higher level.
Its a trait that we seem to get with players coming from other clubs (exception being Penrith as they legitimately don't have room (Hopgood and Ilongi being good examples). We seem to be an acceptable haven for Ex Penrith because our location is understood and more than likely they have had junior crossovers within the 2 clubs.
Moretti came from Easts, big wraps iniatially had his chance and Easts let him go, we have perservered for 3 seasons and are now seeing results, Kautonga, Tuilagi, Doory and many of our young forwards (NRL now) fall into the category of not being good enough in their initial try outs with other clubs and are showing us more than any alternatives.
Until we cross the Bridge of Troubled Water Parra will not get first choice (apparently even of our own juniors).
That Bridge is us being finally recognised as being a safe haven for a good player to realise or enforce the comfort of playing with a club they have respect for. We went close to doing that with BA but ultimately he himself could not cross that bridge.
My take is it's some armchair expert just like us having his opinion no different than he's most likley done on here under whatever name he goes by .
Wait till next year, he gonna be really depressed if Joash stays at 5/8. I'd be giving Iongi a go at 5/8 for the rest of the year. Nothing to lose, alot to gain.
Nope play your best Fullback. Thats more important.
Your not a great judge Analyst, good bloke, good sense of humour, ordinary journalist and news breaker.....apart from that a real asset to this site LOL.
People can whinge about this season all they like, anyone with half a brain should this season was about blooding young talent and loading them with as much first grade experience as possible- now if we dont have players especially young one that dont bleed for the club then we are screwed.
The facts are only thing hindering Jason and his coaching staff is the ability of MON ans Jim S is to land a few big signings- we have a heap of cap space and players on contract is no excuse, the player market maybe some what dry BUT the right head of footy and CEO always find a way.
MON and Jim S have been at Eels HQ for a while, I'd be moving both on by season end if we dont see some gun recruitment.
Bullshit.....Rabbits beat dragons 40 nil with mostly a Reggie's side and two of their best players looking 12 years old, so I respectfully call absolute bullshit regarding ur take!!!!!
That's a pretty good point GM..... I jokingly said to my wife this morning that Parra are the new second favourites for the 26 premiership based on the relative performance assesments against the new comp favourites .....South Sydney. LOL
Mick aka Big Chris
That half a brain becomes very active when you would be moving on the CEO as part of the coup, who do you think would undertake this? yes move Mon on but who do you replace him with and don't give us a wish list....someone that is available, actually you could put the CEO in the same category as far as replacement's goes.
The trouble is Micky that half a brain does not qualify you for either job and certainly not making the decision to sack the incumbents.
PS Your good mate Jason would not like to see JS go, he is Jason's biggest single supporter in the whole process!
"You no what people have really pissed me off a lot in the last week and I think it was obvious ". So.
1. Find your big boy pants if your pissed off about that.
2. Not everyone wanted Dylan Brown dropped, most people got on board and backed Ryles when he did it.
3.Your easily impressed.
4. Reality is what you make it.
5. What pisses me off is accepting loss's as if it's a mark of respect on a must have spirit journey to get back to the top 4 again.
6. Fans and members alike can have their own opinion. Its what makes our 1EE site so interesting
7. "Trust the Process". - Don't be Blind, Blind Trust is never the answer. Question things and keep them honest.
