No warriors fan but seriously some of the worst refereeing or more so inaction of the bunker that I’ve ever seen. This game has gone to shit. The Cherry Evans no penalty / sin bin was bad enough but that shit was just appeasing the betting agencies.. and to think all NRL execs voted crooked valandyas in.

Exactly BA had to go through more than any other coach in nrl history off the field JR has had an easy ride in comparison don't worry about that discussion with Chief I told him that 3 years ago.

- The way reserve grade was turned into.a holding yard for drifters rather than concentrate on development. That was criminal
- the choices he made not to have better assistants who could challenge him further down the track.
- how he chose players like Alvaro over getting a young gun like Utokimanu into the team.
The proof was in the pudding at the end when we saw how big a clean out was left for Ryles
Ryles on the other hand is more development oriented and looking to see the club having a long term plan to having developed players pushing through.
Whats stuffed Ryles up was the size of the clean out, combined with the new teams coming in, and as a consequence players off contract were at an all time premium
That combined with the three stooges above him running the football club
BA had to deal with stuff JR didn't over his tenure and when they did get it right we saw a good 5 yr run from him.
Salary cap losing players mid season a government administrator lack of top class facilities no home games for 2 yrs until commbank was finally finished then turned it into a fortress of soughts.
JR has had none of that.
Like what LB is saying the only thing he's had is the lack of identity crisis from the top down and lack of championship dna from the top down but that's been here for years.In no way would JR have survived what the club was like when BA was here.

Holbrook wasn't signed by Newcastle until September 2025. By then Brown, Mooney and Saulo had already signed. The only player recruited to the Knights after Holbrook signed was Sandon Smith who was happily released by the Roosters.
Peter O'Sullivan is the one respondible for recruitment at Newcastle. Also notice how O'Sullivan's role is "Recruitment Manager" and not GM of Football. Their Director of Football is former referee Chris James.

Chiefy, what the fcuk are you talking about, there were no politics with Saratinos, he was doing his best to hold the ship together.....just reinforcing, he was not tapped or ousted as you have said......he volunteered because he realised we were needing to change to get where we required.
No body asked for him to leave. He has left voluntarily with good will. Good managers know when to leave, Gibson's rule. He would not stay at any club for more than 3 years....left Easts and Parramatta in perfect shape for the incoming.
Administratively Saratinos is doing that with Parra, he can see his personal shortfalls on the football side and has done well bringing Ryles through.

You are the only one one here who thinks he left on his own accord. Sarantinos said himself he sees himself as a future ceo at another club at some stage. If that was the case, why would Sarantinos leave the eels in such a lowly position? Thats bot a great resume to show future clubs.
didn't matter which team won, both have terrible defense and will be knocked out next weekend. was alwys going to be Panther, Roosters or Dolphins in grand final
